Broccoli Cheese Soup

This was very good, I added sliced fresh mushrooms which added an awesome flavor. I added addtional broccoli as well. Would make again.

These were just o.k. They definitely need something more because they were on the bland side. I did add fresh garlic as suggested. Maybe adding mayo? Not sure if i will be follwing this recipe again.. Sorry..

Baked Penne and Smoked Sausage

The ingredients in this dish all sound good, BUT once they are all mixed together it just didn't taste quite right. Sorry but this was not a hit with my family or myself.

White Chili with Ground Turkey

This was very good. I used shredded chicken breasts (3 small) in place of the ground turkey and I used about 4 cups of the chicken broth. The cosistency seemed just right. Not too soupy and not too thick. I thought the cinnamon would be overpowering so I started with just 1/2 tsp but ended up adding a bit more. You can adjust to your liking.MMM, good. Thanks

Fresh Tomato Pie

This was delicious. I've made this several times and have tweaked it a bit. I pre-bake my crust a bit longer, pre-cooked the onions w/garlic. I sprinkle some Monterey Jack cheese, (I prefer this to Morzarella)to the bottom of the pre-baked crust and then added some spinach leaves so the crust doesn't get too soggy. It's important to drain the tomatoes well. The topping is what makes this taste so good so I double the amount. This is a good way to use up those home grown tomatoes! Thanks for the recipe, Britt.

Amber's Sesame Chicken

I used 1/2 the flour as others suggested but I thought the chicken was flavorless, which is why I'm giving this three stars. This was the first time I used five spice and not quite sure if I care for it. The sause on the other hand was very good, and you definetly need to make more to coat the chicken. I will probably make this again but with a few changes. Thanks for the recipe, Amber.

Zesty Porcupine Meatballs

I thought these were just o.k. Instead of pan frying I baked them in the oven, this way they will not fall apart. I think two cans of the tomato soup was a bit much. Sorry, but we didn't much care for this recipe. May make again but with some changes.

Seven Layer Salad

I think the dressing for this salad is what makes it so good! I followed a viewers suggestion and added a bit of vinegar (to thin it out) and cut back on the amount of parmesan cheese. I substituted broccoli in place of the cauliflower. Be sure to make this is a clear glass pan or bowl to show off all the colorful veggies! We'll definetly be making this again. Thanks, Leah!

Scalloped Sweet Potatoes and Apples

Potato Salmon Patties

These were very good! The best Salmon pattie recipe I have found. They do not fall apart like others I have tried. I used the white sauce from the "Fish Tacos" recipe by: Tanya. It went excellent as a dipping sauce for the patties. Yum! Yum! Thanks, Joy!

Oven Fries

I was dissapointed with these potatoes given the reviews I read. The potatoes stuck to the pan, and the sugar just made them taste sweet. It was a disaster. Maybe it was my technique, it sure was a waste of time. Sorry.

Fish Tacos

These were pretty good. I made the sauce first then into the frig to thicken. I added just half of the jalapeno pepper and it was plenty hot. This would be a good dipping sauce for just about anything. Excellent flavor. I wasn't to crazy about the corn tortia flavor and will make them with the flour tortias next time. Spanakopita (Greek Spinach Pie)

This recipe was very good, the only draw back was the liquid in the bottom of the pan, it made the dough soggy. Maybe it was the ricotta cheese? Next time I will omit the ricotta and add a different cheese. Will add more phillo dough as others have suggested. Using fresh spinach makes a difference in taste. Yummy!

Awesome Broccoli Casserole

I have made this recepie several times, and have altered it a bit. Pre-cook the broccoli, and add the cheese to the rest of the ingredients. Cover the casserole, then remove it the last 5 minutes or so. This way it will not dry out on top. This is an excellent casserole!! This one is a keeper!!

Bread Pudding II

Nanna's Banana Bread

This was an excellent recipe. The cinnamon really added extra flavor. I used 3 large bananas for more banana flavor and used 1/4 tsp of salt. This bread did not last long!!
