Dessert Crepes

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2010
The Crepes turned out just great, but in the future I will use less egg. The batter was thicker than I am used to and the taste of eggs was to strong. I definately will use this recipe as base again.

Authentic German Bread (Bauernbrot)

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2010
Bread turned out great, but I made breads before which tasted about the same, but were way less time consuming. I would recommend the recipe, just because it gives you the feeling of the real bread making, but if you want to bake it quick, don't bother making this recipe.

Cranberry Sauce Extraordinaire

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2010
made this sauce twice and both times a little different. It turned out just great both times. I always took 1/2 the sugar asked and added double the amount of cranberries (makes a beautiful color). I used rasins instead of dry fruit mix. Great recipe, my in-laws loved it too!!!

World's Best Pasta Sauce!

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
Made this sauce first time, I didn't have all the ingredients, so I skipped fennel seed and instead of italian sausage I used ground beef. I also added about 1oz of red wine. The sauce is just great, I am sure once it seats for a little bit it will be even better. I made a lot of it, so after dinner I will make lasagna with the rest and freeze it for next time.

Summer Corn Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2009
Great salad! My husband is a picky eater, but he loved this salad. I made this dish a few times, it is always great and refreshing. I also changed it up a little,I use frozen corn and leave tomatoes and basil out and add kidney beans instead. You can mix pretty much anything you have in the pantry as long as you use corn and the dressing as base. Great recipe!

Basic Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
Easy and quick! I wanted a quick lunch, but had not much in my fridge, so found this recipe for the basic chicken salad and made it mine! Just added 1/2 apple, some garlic powder, paprika powder, ground caraway and mustard seed. And of course fresh parsley, cilantro and green onion. So much about basic.. :)) Well it turned out great!!

Ciabatta Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
I didn't use a bread machine, the bread turned out just great. I wasn't sure where to mix the yeast, water or flour mix, so since I used dry yeast I just mixed it with the dry ingredients and added water later. The dough wasn't runny at all, just very sticky. The bread tastes great!

Grilled Tilapia with Mango Salsa

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2009
I had mango salsa at a restaurant and fell in love with it! Of course I had to try to make it myself. Well, I've tried this recipe a couple of times. I followed the recipe to the letter and it always turns out ok. Well, just ok!

Scott Hibb's Amazing Whisky Grilled Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2009
I made the ribs a few days ago. It was just great, I loved the sauce and the ribs turned out very tender. I end up adding a little more vinegar (ca 2tbs) and whisky (ca 2tbs). Even my husband, who is a picky eater and the cook in the family, liked the recipe a lot. The sauce tastes even better the next day, unfortunally I had no ribs left to go with it.. :((
