About this Cook
Newly married and learning my way around the kitchen :)
My favorite things to cook
Breakfast. Yum!
My favorite family cooking traditions
No Thanksgiving is complete without my grandma D's Deviled Egg recipe and my grandma C's Cranberry Fruit Salad My mom's Chicken Divine tops the charts...I'm pretty sure it's from a 1970's cookbook :)
My cooking triumphs
Putting an edible dinner on the table at least 3x a week.
My cooking tragedies
Any of my dinners that my husband eats within 2 minutes...you know he's just trying to be nice, lol.

Chicken Milano
The flavor and richness was fabulous! I even tried to lighten it up a little by using half and half and light butter...didn't matter! Still tasted great! Only thing...be ready to hustle on this recipe. There's a ton of moving pieces and they all require attention at the same time. Get everything prepped beforehand and then just move! Totally worth the sweat and extra dishes :)

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup
This was so good and so full of flavor! I will def be making again for a cold winter's night. Like many others, I used only chicken broth and added in a can of black beans...delish! My only complaint (and more of a preference) is the whole tomatoes - I didn't care for them much. Next time I will use diced tomatoes or Rotel. Thank you for a great recipe!

Blackened Tuna
Maybe I did something wrong, but this didn't turn out anything like I thought it would. For one thing, it was rubbery hard. I cooked it exactly as stated above, but only for 2 minutes on each side. The flavor was good, but not melt in your mouth like my other tuna recipes.
