Coconut Ambrosia Salad

I've been making almost the identical salad, except I use 1 16oz container of sour cream instead of the milk & whipped cream, and it is very good

I used Domino "brownulated" granular brown sugar instead, as it was easier to sprinkle over the chop. I also followed others advise, and I mixed soy sauce with worchestshire sauce with some garlic. Very good recipe!

Dora's Christmas Cookies

These make a great sugar cookie, they are more cakelike than crisp, which I prefer. They make a nice fat cookie, easy to decorate, and don't break easy. I used Royal Icing to decorate them. The almond and vanilla extract give it a nice old-fashioned flavor!

Christmas Pastels

I used Cherry Jell-O and sprinkled with multi-colored Betty Crocker Party Sugar instead. I got lots of requests for the recipe at work. They weren't too sweet, a little salty (which I like)and the cherry flavor jell-o added a familar taste to the cookies, but people could not guess what it was. Definately will make again!

Buckeye Balls

I think I would prefer these with milk chocolate instead of semi-sweet chips, or a 50/50 mixture of the two. The inside was easy to make, but dipping in chocolate was a little difficult since I don't have a double-broiler. I couldn't get the coating thin enough on the balls, so the coating came out a little heavier than I would have liked. But that's just my problem, the recipe was excellent!

Saltine Toffee Cookies

These are very easy to make, and no one can guess that there are saltines in them. I find the toffee part to be a little too sweet for my taste, although it tastes very good. Any suggestions for how to make it less overwhelmingly sweet?

Kisses Peanut Butter Pie

If you love peanut butter & chocolate, this dessert is perfect! Excellent flavor, but very rich. Only have a small slice and a big glass of milk!

Best Ever Sausage with Peppers, Onions, and Beer!

I was really worried when I made this, because after I poured the can of beer in, the smell of the beer and veggies cooking was gagging me (I used Heineken, might use a different beer next time). I made it for a birthday party, and I thought I might have ruined 6 lbs of sausage. But soon the beer smell cooked off, and I added the tomato paste and red hot sauce. It was absolutely wonderful! I will always cook them this way. They were the 1st thing gone at the party, and everyone loved them. You couldn't even tell there was beer in it.

Eggplant Parmesan II

This recipe was delicious, but a lot of work. I will use less eggplants next time because I had to bake several batches, and it took a long time to get them just right. It took so long, I had to make something else for dinner, and refrigerate the cooked eggplant slices to finish the recipe the next night. It was worth the wait, and it was really good. It tasted exactly the same as fried eggplant.
