Beer and Brown Sugar Steak Marinade

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2011
This marinade added a nice flavor to the steaks not at all over powering... next time I will try and let the steak marinate overnight to hopefully tenderize a little more...

Very fast and simple to throw together... tasted great... I added extra cabbage because it seemed like a little too much dressing... but good recipe

Crustless Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2011
Incredible Basic Quiche.... very very versatile... you can truely make it to your liking... I added mushrooms and used 2 cups monzarella cheese and 1 cup chedder instead of the muenster... it turned out very very good too... if you wanted I am sure you could put a crust under it... or make any other changes you desire... next time I am considering putting a few tomato slices on top... very easy to make... will make again

You've Gotta Be Kidding Onions

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2011
Very tasty on saltine crackers... allowing the onions to sit in the vinegar and sugar mixture really took out a lot of the heat... it reminded me of a cucumber onion salad with out the cucumber.. good way to use up onions

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2011
A very good way to make sloppy joes... really not much harder than opening a can of manwhich... and the little effort it takes is well worth it... will make again... maybe subsituting real maple syrup for the brown sugar

Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2011
Very very simple and easy to make. All it requires is opening a few bags and a few cans and you have a good tasting casserole for supper... I did add a 1/2 cup of milk as suggested by other reviewers to keep it moist and it turned out really well...

Very good tasting bread... the toasted seeds do give it a nice flavor... the only problem I have with this recipe is it makes a smaller loaf... very good tasting though

Easy Broccoli Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
Very good... definately simple enough to make... I did read the other reviews before making just as a percaution and made changes as I felt need... I used a deep dish pie pan.... 2 cups of monzarella cheese sprinkling some on top of the pie crust under the veggies... I also used frozen broccoli (to do this I partially thawed it and added to the onions and garlic after they were partially good.. I cooked some of the water out of the broccoli but kept it a little hard) everything else I kept the same... other than the cooking time mine took 50 minutes and it was perfect.. with the combination of changes suggested by the other reviewers this recipe is AMAZING...

Emily's Pickled Eggs

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
Good tasting basic pickled egg..... the only thing I might consider changing is removing the clove from the pickling spice... that might be the overwhelming flavor I taste... I should have listened to the other reviewer who suggested that... also I am considering adding a little garlic, some red pepper, and some sugar... also I will leave a few more onions uncooked (because I just love them).. but otherwise this recipe seem to work well for me... no troubles at all... they are disappearing fast which is always a good sign... UPDATE: The last time I made these I made the following changes... used only 1 Tablespoon salt... removed most of the cloves from the pickling spice... added 4 cloves worth of minced garlic.... 1 tablespoon sugar... and 1/8 teaspoon of crushed red pepper... Also I love pickled onions so I layered a few extra slices of raw ones with the eggs.. My family said the liked the changed recipe better... I will stick with my changes next time I make it... I definately like eating the extra onion I added...

English Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
Real authentic English Muffines... at least they tasted like it... great recipe... the only thing I would change is when you "bake" the muffins in the skillet use low heat... mine got burnt on the outside before i realized it and turned it down and had to continuely flipping them creating a more dence muffin... other than that just be careful when transfering to the skillet so they stay risen nicely... try using a spatula... my family ate these up pretty fast... definately a keeper..

Boiled Bagels

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
I definitely agree with the other reviewers that this recipes is for 12 small bagels... I didn't listen to them and made 12 and hoped they would rise more but didn't... next time I will try and make bigger bagels and let them rise longer... also when I shape them I will try a technique I found one another recipe where you poke the whole threw and then twirl it... also I want to try making different varieties... the ones I made were whole wheat and tasted very delicious... I put cornmeal on my baking sheets to make them more authentic... I will definitely try again...
