I didn't find this recipe to be anything special really... kinda like banana milk... tasted good though... i garnished mine with a little cinnamon and nutmeg for an added zip...

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2011
very very good I took another reviewers advice and used a ham bone cooking it in the 3 1/4 water to make a broth... and then cut the ham off for the soup... this gave the soup a really good ham flavor... very good you can add more veggies such as carrots of you like but a great basic ham potato soup...

after looking through the sausage gray recipes on here I realized they are pretty much the same.. I think it really depends on the kind of sausage you use... this recipe looked well and turned out great... it got great reviews

Lemon Poppy Seed Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2011
Yummy lemon poppy seed bread.... I took advice from the other reviewers and used real lemon juice in addition to the extract... which gave it great flavor.. I did add a little extra baking powder to counter act the acidity and ensure that this bread would bake up nicely, which it did... I also added extra poppy seeds... I made mine in two normal sized bread pans instead of the 8x4... turned out great

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2011
Super rich brownie... definately one that people who love heavey brownies will enjoy... if you are looking for a light cake like brownie this is not one for you... next time I will try using half brown and half white sugar as recommended by other reviewers to see how they turn out... but as written they are super rich and delishice... and not so healthy...

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2011
Very Easy and Very Simple.... it tasted amazing... I enjoyed it... I used long grain rice and didn't seem to have any major problems probably a little coarser than it should be... I also used normal raisins because I didn't have any golden... mine turned out wonderful... I added a little extra milk because my rice made more than 1 1/2 cup.... but this turned out great will make again if i need a quick dessert...

Reuben Sandwich II

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
Reubans are incredible.... the only thing i would change in this recipe is using real corned beef brisket... also heating the sauerkraut first helps with making sure the whole thing is heated through... so sauerkraut is good on the side... i didn't think it should take 15 minutes to brown espeically if you are using fresh cooked corn beef and sauerkraut.. just cook until toasted...

Frozen Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Balls

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
Far from being anything remotely healthy... these tasted really good... I can finally feel "safe" from eating raw eggs in normal cookie dough... these do make a nice little snack dessert though especially if you dip them in chocolate... I used 1 cup semi-sweet chips and 2 tablespoons shortening and it worked perfectly... they turned out wonderful.... only reason I gave them 4 stars is because they seemed to lack the flavor real cookie dough has even though i did add a pinch of salt next time i will add a little more and maybe some baking soda... but the only other downside is they are also not at all healthy... but what desserts really are...

Thousand Island Dressing II

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
Good homemade Thousand Island Dressing.... mine turned out very very sweet... probably just another instance where miracle whip doesn't cut it... I took the advice of an other reviewer and added seasoned salt to counter act the sweetness... seemed to work decently... I also added 1 boiled egg chopped up to make it more authentic... will go good with my ruebens

Classic Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
truely is a very good classic bran muffin what more can I say.... the only thing I might change is using applesauce instead of oil.... then they truely would be incredibly healthy... I will try that next time... but otherwise very good tasting source of fiber...

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
WOW.... these did get huge... I was incredibly impressed.... the only thing I might try differently next time is using butter instead of shortening... otherwise superb... just be sure not to over mix or kneed... only use as much milk as you need... and you can make the dough ahead of time and refridgerate... they were a fairly light and fluffy biscuit... very good update- I made again using butter in place of shortening and they turned out a little more dense but with a better flavor I think very good under gravy

Slow Cooker Venison Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
A pretty good recipe... definately a different take on venison... a friend of mine that doesn't care for venison actually loved this recipe... me personally growing up on venison felt it had a little too much cumin and chili powder... kinda took over... also it was a little sweet for some people's likings... I will cut back on the cumin and the sugar and maybe try real maple syrup next time I make it... prep time also took a little time but it was nice to come home and have it ready to eat... thanks for the recipe

Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
Very nice waffle recipe... I made these over other high rated ones on this website because they called for butter instead of oil... I followed other reviewers advice and beat the egg whites separate.... over all very good waffle
