These were a hot mess when they were baking and I was worried about them, however the end result turned out very well.

Old World Poppy Seed Roll

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2013
This roll tasted delicious I made the recipe exactly how it is stated except cut everything in half because I only wanted one roll.... It also looked rather impressive and wasn't all that hard to make... all the steps in the instructions may look intimidating but it is actually rather easy...

Pierogi (Polish Dumplings)

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2013
Very good... a little time consuming to make... My dad also commented on how peppery the potato ones were... next time I might cut back a bit on that.... over all everyone seemed to like the sauerkraut Pierogis... over all not a bad recipe if you have the time to make them.... since it did make more than one meals worth I froze the extras for a quick meal in the future... I would also like to try pan frying them in some butter and onions after they are boiled.... but great recipe thanks for submitting...

Swope Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2013
Very simple to through together... the final product did seem to be rather dense... but the bread had great flavor even though I cut the sugar back by half... will definitely make again if a need a bread but don't have prep time for kneading...

Golden Crescent Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2013
These turned out pretty decent... better than the ones you buy in the store... this is a great recipe, however I am still not a huge fan of crescent rolls because they are a fat heavy bread.. but they do look wonderful and everyone else seemed to enjoy them...

Bachelor Grilled Cheese

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2013
I admit I have done this too!!! One it is a little healthier form of a grilled cheese since you don't have to butter your bread... and two it is easier and gets less dishes dirty, great for a college dorm.... honestly it doesn't taste half bad either.... thanks for sharing the idea!!

Cabbage Roll Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2013
This casserole was very easy to make nothing to it actually.... I did however feel that it lacked some spices and flavor... I added some black pepper and that seemed to help but something was still missing maybe next time I will experiment a little more and read other reviews... But after the hour and a half of baking it was no longer runny and thickened up quite nicely... My brother did mention that he might like it better if it was layered and not all missed together... It may be worth trying as well rice, meat, then cabbage with the tomato sauce and broth over everything... Not sure how that would work though.... As written it is a very simple and good tasting casserole

Pork Chops for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2013
Overall not a bad recipe mine came out super tender to the point which they were falling apart which was good... They reminded me of the pork you can get at Asian restaurants.... But I still think the best way to eat any pork chop is grilled... Personal opinion though these are simple and easy and turn out great though

Lola's Horchata

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2013
Well this was an interesting recipe and fun to try... I added the cinnamon to the rice in the blender to flavor the water but strain it clear... It did seem to work and it come out clear... I ended up adding a little extra milk and cutting back on the sugar.. It did seem to turn out good though... Who would have thought to make a drink from rice....

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2013
Amazing... That about sums it up.. No one could believe how tender these were.. I was a little short on time so I cut the baking time to 35 minutes and 30 minutes and they were definitely done.. These are a lot of work to make and far from healthy but excellent for special occasions... Next time I may consider draining the fat before adding the soup mixture.. But if you are willing to do the work and the extra dishes I recommend these

Golden Rum Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2013
Only goes this cake is amazing not one you want to make all the time though because it is far from being at all good for you...everyone always loves it though... I used lite rum because that is all I had and it still turned out great.... Next time I will follow the advice of the other reviewers and poke holes in the cake pour half the glaze in the pan and let it soak in... Great recipe thanks

Maple Pecan Shortbread Squares

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2013
Super super simple to make these literally take no time or effort to make.... Instead of using a blender I just used a bowl and mixed with a fork and they turned out great.... Next time I might try adding more maple syrup in the topping and less brown sugar for a more maple flavor.... They reminded me of seven layer bars without the layers definitely a good base to make if you need something fast

Greek Style Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
These had a nice Greek flavor however mine only took about an hour to cook probably because I cut them in eighths instead of quarters also if I make again I think I will try boiling the water and dissolving the bouillon cube first... I ended up crushing them and just mixing them in... All in all not bad if you are a fan of Greek seasoned potatoes

French Crepes

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2012
A great crepe recipe with an almost perfect consistency for making awesome thin crepes the way the French make them... as compared to the Basic Crepe recipe on this site this one was far thinner and I would definitely use it if you are looking for thin crepes... you can fill them with just about anything you want from pie filling to different fruits or even nutella (as a french foreign exchange students taught me)... any way you fill them they are excellent!!
