Dirt Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
I made this for 2 occasions now, and at first it sat for a long time because no one realized it was dirt cake! Once they found out, I was standing in line to get some before it was gone! This was very very good. I made just like the recipe called for. It was the first dessert gone at the family gathering!

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
This coleslaw was amazing! It was very sweet, but my husband doesn't really care for coleslaw and he LOVED this one. I didn't use the bag of coleslaw I just used up a half of a cabbage I had and 2 carrots, but it tasted very good.

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
This tasted very good, but you have to be a chocolate lover! I made my own brownies for the recipe and they were fudgy brownies so it was all very chocolaty! My family members liked it though.

Round Steak Sauerbraten

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
This is my steak recipe! My husband actually found it and made it for me and it was SO flavorful. I just love it. Its tricky though cause we tried doubling the sauce and it just came too watery. So you gotta be careful when doubling sauce. But otherwise LOVE it! :)

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
These cookies were good but not amazing. Yes they were easy to make but they were flat & crisp.. I guess I was just looking for a fat fluffy sugar cookie.

Butter Icing for Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
Very good. I used more milk to make it more of a glaze that I could just dip the cookies in. Made it very easy! Loved it

Cheese Lover's Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2011
This was not a very good tuna casserole. I have tried multiple recipes trying to find my favorite and this was one of the worst as far as the ingredients given. Yeah it may be cheesy but there is no FLAVOR whatsoever. I had to add a ton of salt & pepper to every plate to at least have something to taste. I did also add peas for nutrition. But I probably wouldnt make again

Beer Burgers

Reviewed: May 20, 2012
They were very good burgers, however considering the amount of people in my family who don't like onions, it didn't get the best remarks. The only substitution I made was I added 1/2 tsp. pepper. Delicious!

Beef Sirloin Steak with Baby Spinach

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2012
I thought this was delicious!! I did not have balsamic vinegar so I used seasoned rice vinegar.. and I didnt have any fresh spinach so I used some chopped frozen spinach I had. After all the substitutions I made it tasted great.. I see it as a very versatile recipe. Next time I think mushrooms would taste very good in it as well.

Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2013
Amazing! I will never buy store bought italian bread again! This was soo good. The whole family loved it. Even my 2 year old who is a hit or miss even when I have to bribe with ice cream half the time to eat his supper, he ate his Vegetable Barley Soup just so he could get some more bread! We tried the Beaker's Vegetable Barley Soup on this site with this bread.

Vegetable Chowder

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2013
This recipe is SO delicious. I would for sure make this again. I chopped up the veggies that my kids dont care for really small so they couldn't be seen. Its thick and creamy and I love it! We had it as a side with Panini's!

Oven Baked Jambalaya

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2014
This was the best jambalaya I have ever had! I only had medium grain rice, and some diced and stewed tomatoes in the cupboard that I used instead of the whole tomatoes, and I added canned cut okra but other than that I stuck to the recipe including making the suggested creole seasoning blend and it was so fantastic. Yes it made a large portion but it will be a perfect freezer meal as well for when I don't want to cook next. I thought it called for quite abit of meats but I did it anyway and it wasn't too much at all in proportion to the rice. I am very impressed with the recipe and will be making it again.
