Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2014
I love the flavour of these cookies since they taste plain enough for me to give them a nice icing on top. Very easy to make and really nice dough. I used this variation that i th1ought would be best from another reviewer. 1 1/2 cup sugar, 1 cup of unsalted butter, 1 8oz cream cheese, 1 egg, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/2 tsp almond extract, 3 1/2 cup flour and 1 tsp baking powder.

Galaktoboureko

One tip is to either have the syrup cool or the pan. The syrup needs to sizle when poured in the pan. Always cut the pieces before pouring the syrup so it can go in between. As well, i use a Stick of cinnamon, a few whole cloves and some rind of a lemon when boiling the syrup for extra flavour. Nice recipe though as a starter.

Peach and Blueberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2014
Great recipe but i didnt add the blueberries. I did seperate the juice from the peaches first, mixed them with some cornstarch, cinnamon, and brow sugar. Then i re-added the juice and the crumb mixture. Came out delicious!

Melt in your Mouth Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2013
Great cookie. At first I thought the dough was too sticky and melty but they came out great! I had them in the oven for 15min for me. The only problem was the icing. It doesn't taste that great but the cookie was delicious. Really melt in your mouth!

Baklava

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2013
This version is NOT Turkish and almost every country in Europe has their own version. Greeks make it with almonds or walnuts. I know the Lebanese use pistachios and don't pore syrup over it and its usually dry. Whatver the case THIS Greek style baklava is great. I love th suggestions too. I'm going to make his for my hubby's birthday since he loves eating and probably breathing Greek food.

Pizza Dough II

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2013
Best pizza dough i've ever made! Delicious! I just added some parmesan cheese, oregano, and parsley for extra flavour. It was perfect! I made with with a pizza stone and held together wonderfly. I also used all purpose flour since i didnt have any of the flours so it needed a lo more flour cause it was pretty sticky. Great recipe.

Butter Cream Frosting II

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2013
Great frosting. Finally found the right thickness i wanted for a frosting. Tastes great! I only recommend you whip the butter (not margarine) and shortening together first at room temperature. Gradually add the sugar. Then add the salt and vanilla. Once its all incoperated together i add the milk gradually to get the right consistancy i want. It was perfect. Now im on a sugar high!

Italian Cheese Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2013
Great bread! I used cheddar cheese instead and made it with my kitchen aid mixer. Instead of the italian seasoning i used thyme, rosemary, oregano, basil and parsley for flavor. My husband loves it but then again he loves everything I make lol.
