About this Cook
I'm 23 years old. I have been married almost 2 1/2 yrs this coming June. The hubby and I have been attending ABI, a Bible school in St. Paul, MN. I really enjoy baking and being able to serve it to others and see them enjoy it. It's a great feeling. I've always felt that life can feel so fast nowadays and when I'm able to make something from scratch, that you could easily buy from the store, it reminds me that life can slow down a little bit. You can truly enjoy the little things in life.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make pies, cakes, and home-made ice cream.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Verde Cheese Enchiladas, Chili Rellenos (not sure how it's spelled), posole, File gumbo, and tamales.
My cooking triumphs
Whole Wheat Loaf, Hamburger buns from scratch, Roasted Chicken in my roaster, Chili beans, and Verde Chicken Posole
My cooking tragedies
The first five whole wheat loaves of bread (but i didn't give up) the 6th was the charm and burnt cookies

Banana Crumb Muffins
I'm not a big banana bread fan but these were fantastic!!! The crumb topping was definitely the cherry on top though. It really finished it off!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip
The recipe was a little salty. That may have a been my fault. I would use less salt and add later to taste. These turned out great though and I even forgot to add the water and it still was fantastic.
