Mom's Stovetop Pork Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2013
Thank you so much for your recipe. I used fresh herbs, Bragg's (less sodium) soy sauce and followed the directions. I also used boneless pork ribs. The best thing about this recipe is the technique. No wonder the flavor is so intense and the pork so tender. It just works.... That sear I got on the pork at the very end? Put this dish right over the top. W.O.W.

Pesto Chicken Penne Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2012
This was easy to prepare, and I followed the recipe as stated except only used 7 oz of pesto. I actually think this tastes better the second day, as it gives the ingredients time to marry. Thanks for sharing~

Slow-Cooked German Short Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2012
I used boneless ribs and followed the recipe. Very good flavor, however I found the sauce a little on the sweet side, so I will either reduce sugar, or increase vinegar next time. The ribs were also completely done in 5 hours. Very good recipe, thanks~

Busy Mom's Spaghetti Bolognese

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2011
This was so fast and easy. I also enjoyed the flavor. 2 cups of water evaporates quickly so I had to add more water (1/2 cup at a time) twice. Maybe I should have kept a lid on it, but it didn't say to do that. I will try that next time. My advise is to watch it closly, and make sure it's on a low simmer or you'll be using a brillo pad on the bottom of your pot. I really liked this dish, thanks

Pepperoncini Beef

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2011
Very Tasty!! Followed exact recipe except browned the meat first, when done shredded it, and decided to put all the liquid in the refrigerator overnight so I could skim off the fat. Good move cause there was a lot!! Next day, assembled the sandwich, and poured a little of the juice over the top of the sandwich before serving. The family loved it, and I was out of the kitchen in 10 minutes. My kind of meal....Thanks for a great idea Joyce!

Feta and Slow-Roasted Tomato Salad with French Green Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
I was getting a little burnt out on salad, until this came along!!! Great flavor combo, and the dressing was wonderful. I cut back on the feta after reading the reviews, and added maybe 3oz which I think was a good call. Other then that, followed recipe as stated and loved it. Thank you Andypoc!!

Black Bean and Couscous Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
Loved it!! This is the perfect salad to have on hand when you want something fast, and healthy. I took the advise of others, and doubled the dressing (not oil) and I'm glad I did. Next time I make it I will use whole wheat couscous because it has twice as much fiber.

Hungarian Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
Excellent Soup!! I made this in stages. Made step 1 and then refrigerated it overnight. If you have the time I think it helps the flavors to blend, and lets you skim the fat off the top. Next day I continued by re-heating, the soup on low, then proceeding with step 2 and 3. I chose to add a dollop of sour cream to individual bowls at serving time instead of adding all at once. I will be making this on a regular basis, it's that good!

Chicken and Bow Tie Pasta

Followed exact directions except added mushrooms, and sun dried tomatoes (in oil, drained) My family really enjoyed this recipe, and I appreciated how easy it was to put together. I thought it was a little bland, but overall, I'd make it again, and maybe add something to kick it up a notch. Overall, I liked it.Thanks for a good recipe!!

Creamy Chicken Bog With A Kick

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2011
My husband loved this dish, and rated it a 10!! It was a little on the hot side for me, but this dish really does need some heat. I couldn't find turkey kielbasa, so I used smoked turkey sausage (looked like kielbasa) instead. Otherwise, followed exact recipe. I will make again if my husband requests it.

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2010
Although I enjoyed them, it tasted a lot like the other many recipes I've tried. It's not the flavor that makes me move on, it's the texture. I want a fluffy cake like texture, not a flat kinda greasy one. Next...
