Mini Meatball Subs

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2010
These were adorable! I made my own mini meatballs in the crockpot, cut them in half so they were small on the dinner rolls, sprinkled some parmesan cheese, topped with mozzerella & toasted them in the oven for 5 mins. I took them to a party & they were a big hit!! thanks!

Crab and Jack Pretzel

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2011
mmmmm! I was looking for a crab pretzel recipe & found this one. I used pretzels from the philly pretzel factory. Could only find 6 oz can of crabmeat so I used 2 6oz cans. Added some old bay. Baked them in the oven for 15 mins....they were a little hard, so next time I'll probably heat up the crab mixture in the oven first & then put it on top of the pretzels with the cheese & only do 5 mins in the oven.....other then that....fantastic!!!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew III

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
pretty good!! Used 1 can of beef broth instead of the water. I don't know why you need to cook this overnight, I put it on at 9am, added the carrots & potatoes about noon, added the onions, celery & garlic about 2 hours later. We were eating about 6pm. Served with some nice sour dough bread!

Chicken Pot Pie III

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2011
I use a rotissere chicken to save time, put that over the stove with a bag of frozen vegies, some butter, white wine...heat that up, mix in 2 cans of cream of chicken soup, some salt, pepper & garlic powder. Pour that into a casserole dish and put a pillsbury crust over top. (i don't put one on the bottom). bake in oven for 1/2 hour or so...delicious!!

Pork Tenderloin with Dijon Marsala Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2011
I couldn't wait to try this recipe....& it didn't disappoint! Made the tenderloin as stated, took it out of the oven & started on the sauce while it rested. Used what i had on hand, onion instead of shallots & marsala cooking wine (next time i will use marsala wine)...also added mushrooms. Make sure you let it simmer to develop the flavors and let it reduce by half. The bf loved this one & said i was awesome!! soooo easy will definitley make this again!

Hot Cheesy Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
This was pretty good, didn't realize I didn't have any hot sauce. I used a frozen box of spinach, and 8 oz sour cream instead of the mayo/half. It was ok. I went and got some hot sauce and heated the leftovers on the stove and added the hot sauce....it was awesome!!! Don't skip the hot sauce, I think it makes the recipe! Thanks, will make again!

Ground Beef Enchiladas

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
There were a winner!! I used green chilis instead of jalapenos and sour cream instead of yogurt. Use the mozzerella cheese...it will suprise you!! Tastes just like a cheese sauce! I put enchilada sauce on the bottom of the pan, I only used 4 tortillas....i stuffed them to the max!! also added some salsa with the beef & cheese mixture. Put the rest of the sauce on top and topped with some more mozz cheese...baked for 30 mins! Absolutely wonderful & will definitley make again!

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: May 10, 2011
Fabulous! We don't like beans, so i used 1 1/2 lbs ground beef and 1 lb hot sausage. Also used a jar of picante along with the salsa, little bit more chili seasing (we like spice!) Also did green peppers along with the onions and some celery. Cooked it on low in the crockpot all day. Best chili i've ever had...and sooo easy!

Bacon Tater Bake

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2010
Awesome basic recipe! This is what I did for the 5 stars: I did half the recipe, so I used 1 can of cream of chicken soup (personal preference), mixed with the sour cream. I sauted the onions & then mixed with the soup & sour cream. Make sure the bacon is crispy...mine wasn't crispy enough. Mixed it together with the tator tots & shredded cheddar CHEESE!!! & baked covered for 50 mins. Then added more cheese to the top & baked for another 15. mmmmm definitly will make again with these revisions!

German Pork Chops and Sauerkraut

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2013
I'm not the biggest sauerkraut fan....but being from central pa, i had to give this a try to bring in the new year. I liked that it was easy and could bake in the oven. I did not use the brown sugar. After browning the chops, I deglazed the pan with white wine and poured this over the chops, also added salt/pepper/garlic powder to chops while browning...will make again this way (but only on new years!)
