I have no idea how the other cooks got their cookies to come out. These were very unsuccessful. I would never make them again. These were A LOT of work for very little return. It was near impossible to find a small roll of Life Savers for one. Crushing the cookies might be fun for kids but it was a pain for me. It created quite a mess. The candy part stuck to the pan, no matter what I did. I used parchment paper, wax paper, butter, shortening.. I tried everything. I got a few cookies to come out (see rack photo) but most of them ended up crushed pieces (see plastic bowl pic). The cookie part was very bland and had no flavor. The candy part ended up gummy. On a good note (the one star that i can give) is that my dogs LOVED the busted up pieces. I'll never make these again, ever.

These were incredible!! They are very tasty and not that hard to make at all. The statement is right - they did not stay around long. I took a batch of various cookies in to work, and these were the first to go. And they were the most highly acclaimed ones, too. I think that I didn't let my cookies cool enough before I put the frosting on, so next time I will let them cool fully (and keep my hubby away from them as they do) before I frost them. OMG they are so good. Yummmm! I don't like nuts so I excluded them. Otherwise I followed the recipe as-is

These were quite delicious, but a bit gummy in the middle. They were cooked long enough, but just didn't seem done in the middle. The powdered sugar sort of faded into the cookies; I don't know how I could have gotten more on them so that didn't happen. But in any case, they were very easy and delicious. My husband started eating them fresh out of the oven. I had to make another batch soon afterward because he ended up eating them all.
