Yes, this salad IS really worth all the stars. It's easy to make, uses easy ingredients, and TASTES. AWESOME. We didn't change anything except for using minced garlic instead of crushed. I wouldn't change a thing, it's perfect.
HOWEVER!! The inclusion of a minced Serrano chile (added at the party), was VERY nice, for those who like heat. I imagine adding some green chiles would be a nice addition also (for much less heat). As I'm always thinking of healthier ways to fix things, I think you could easily sub some (or all) of the oil with extra lemon/lime juice, and I don't see why you couldn't replace the sugar with agave nectar - I'll try it out next time and review again :) Don't skip over this recipe. It's a winner, and SO VERY MUCH a keeper!
