About this Cook
I'm happily married for 20 years to my best friend. We have two kids 14 & 19, a dog and some cats. I love to garden and bake. I'm big on throwing things together for quick recipes. My best food never has a recipe that I can remember the amounts of, I sorta just make it up as I go.
My favorite things to cook
lately pie - only b/c now i have the hang of making a homemade crust. guess you could say casseroles are my favorite and of course cookies. anything with chocolate and / or peanut butter too!
My favorite family cooking traditions
well i learned how to make nestles toll house when i was 13ish. the rest i learned from watching my mother-in law and aunt cook and bake. i try to cook all the major holidays traditions, like corned beef & cabbage for St. Patrick's day and like that.....
My cooking triumphs
the pie crust and also flour tortilla- which are great for breakfast wraps
My cooking tragedies
once i tried to make an indian stew in my crock pot. it had turkey in it and cocoa powder and all i can remember is my family didn't like the way it looked or tasted and we actually fed it to the poor dog, lol

Slow Cooker Tapioca Pudding
I have some good tips ! If you want to make chocolate tapioca pudding; add 1/4 cup cocoa powder to this recipe. I always mix the eggs first, add the milk & sugar ( add cocoa ) . Big tip, Cook on low, but stir every half hour. Set a timer if you need to. It may not take 3 hours either. Mine's usually done in a little over 2 hours. I don't let it get super thick because as it cools it will thicken further. I make this often and we love it !

Baked Pork Chops I
These are the best pork chops I have ever made or eaten! My husband & daughter loved them too! I can't wait to make them for company. I didn't change anything except I have a fast oven, so I bake them for 40 minutes then topped with the sauce and baked for 30 more minutes. Otherwise, I used exactly like the recipe is written. Thank you so much for such a yummy pork chop recipe!
