Peach Pie and Banana Bread!
About this Cook
I'm a SAHW/M and LOVE it!
My favorite things to cook
Everything, provided I'm in the mood. One of the guys at hubby's work asked if there's anything I can't cook. Probably, but overall I do pretty well.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every December it's time to bust out the cookie/ candy/ cake recipes. So many have been handed down for generations. It's great to keep up the tradition.
My cooking triumphs
I've switched to nearly all organic, the rest is natural as I can get it. I've learned to can most things well, and make Mexican foods from scratch (thanks to my MIL!)
My cooking tragedies
I've thrown out a lot of corn and green beans I've canned. Don't know why I can't get those right. : (

Birdseed Treats
Loved it! I used a 9x9 pan, and it was perfect for me. I got 16 bars out of it. Hubby and I ate them ALL that evening. They were so good and so much more healthy, fast, and filling than cookies. I added about 2 T of chia seeds. Totally going to do it again. I can't wait to add variations as the other reviewers have mention. These will be a great hit with the family!

Italian Cream Soda
I used blackberry syrup, and it needed a LOT more half and half and some stevia. Good though.

Applesauce Custard Pie
Really good! I partially baked my shell first, and used half Stevia in the Raw and half sugar, doubled the vanilla, and extra cinnamon. I put a dash in the crust with the other dry ing, sprinkled a half tsp or so in the bottom of the shell, then about the same on top, but I LOVE cinnamon and apples. Also make sure you put something around the edges of the shell or it'll burn.
