Before making these for holiday cookie tins, I had not made rolled sugar cookies in about 20 years, and this was when I was like 7 and cooking with my mother. I read the reviews and knew this would be a great choice. I followed this recipe to a T. Made the dough and let it sit while I made all the other cookies. The dough was in the fridge for about 8 hours. I used lots of flour while rolling it out onto the counter and had no problems with it sticking to the rolling pin. They turned out so beautiful! Evenly cooked, firm but not overdone, and delicious! I forgot that we had no confectioner's sugar so I made my own throwing sugar into a blender, then sifting, and some corn flour. The icing was a little thick, but there were NO complaints!! I actually liked it better thicker! I had requests from a few people to make these for their birthdays, and I plan on doing that! A must-try recipe! Enjoy!
