Pineapple Cherry Ice Cream

My son made this recipe exactly as written for an ice cream making contest at the Baltimore County 4H fair and receive 1st place. We all loved it and its so simple to make.

My entire family loved it. Encluding all 5 kids.The only ingredient I didn't have was fresh ginger so I used my dried ginger. We usually have chinese carryout every friday night. But we are going to Disney World in a couple of weeks. So we cut out eating out for the past month to save money. So I needed to find asian type meals for our friday nights. So far this has been the best. I read several reviews first and did take the advise of cooking/browning the chicken transfered it to a baking dish and kept it warm in the oven. Then prepared the sauce. I poured the sauce over the chicken and gently toss the chicken in the sauce to cover it. Then I served it over fried rice.

Amish Macaroni Salad

This was great. The only thing I did was cut back on the sugar I didn't use the full 3/4 cup but I did use at least a half a cup. Oh I also used both green and red peppers from my garden. I like adding color to my salads.

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

This is a great base recipe. Just add different ingredients to suit your family's taste. I used this for my left over turkey. I doubled the recipe for my family. For my family I stirred in peas and cheddar chesse. Plus I but a layer of cheese under the cracker topping.

Restaurant-Style Coleslaw I

Finally a easy recipe for a good cole slaw. I didn't have prepackage slaw. So I sliced my own cabbage very thin and added shredded carrots. Turned out great. I did let it marinate overnight. For a much better taste.

Coconut Shrimp I

The Best!Whenever I go out to eat I always order coconut shrimp if its on the menu. I like the ones I've had at Rainforest cafe and outback. But you only get a few shrimp for $15 to $20. Then my husband and I went to Hawaii for the Pro Bowl two weeks ago, and while we were driving around the North Shore my husband and I stop at this little roadside shack we weren't expecting much but it had coconut shrimp for only $8 so I ordered it. I got 10 jumbo shrimp that was the best coconut shrimp I ever had. My husband and I have talked about that place every day since getting back. So I had to find a recipe to make it myself. All the reviews were right, The coconut really sticks to the shrimp. Just use the largest shrimp you can afford for a great dish. I even made the sauce but it doesn't need any. Thanks for the perfect Coconut Shrimp recipe.

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Very easy to make. My entire family loved it. Including my 5 children. The raisins provided a sweet taste while the sunflower seed a little crunch. And it got the kids to eat more broccoli. Even though my children do eat cook broccoli this was a great way for them to eat fresh broccoli.

Marinated Pork Roast with Currant Sauce

I only used the marinade portion of the recipe. Since I didn't have all the ingrediants for the sauce. I roasted my pork roast on the grill and it was Very Tasty and Tender. It didn't even need the sauce.

Honey Wheat Bread I

What a GREAT recipe. The bread was very moist. Just the way we like it. I followed the directions completely with the ingredients. The only thing I did differently was use my stand mixer with the dough hook to mix and knead the bread since I do not have a food processor.

Barbecue Ribs

These were Great! I fixed them to eat during the Super Bowl, Everyone loved them, even the kids. Better then any restuarant we've ever had ribs at.I baked them in the oven because neither my husband or I wanted to cook them outside in the freezing cold and snow. I can't wait to try them in the spring cooked on the grill.

Black Chocolate Cake

WOW! What a great cake. My daughter made this for our county fair last week. And won 1st place. Then afterwards the cake was sold at the cake auction and sold for $110.00. She frosted the cake with a recipe from this site also. It was the Seven minute frosting submitted by Carol. Which is a fluffy white marshmellow type frosting.

Seven Minute Frosting I

This was very easy. And makes alot. I don't have a double broiler so I used a saucepan that had a steamer insert for it, then I set my ceramic bowl in the steamer so the heat would heat the bowl and it worked great. I believe I saw another reviewer had done the same. My icing took about 8 to 10 minutes to stiffen up. It turned out great. I've always bought the box mix of fluffly icing at the store. But I didn't feel like going to the store. I try this and of course it was much better. That's for a quick and easy recipe.

Cranberry Nut Bread I

This turned out GREAT. It will replace my old recipe for Cranberry Nut Bread. It is so moist. The orange juice adds great flavor to it. Usually the cranberries in my breads seem a bit tart, but this recipe they are much sweeter. I think the orange juice flavoring helps to cover up the tartness of the cranberries.

Orange Apricot Loaf

A Enjoyed this bread very much. It had great flavor. I made it exactly as the recipe called for. The only thing I'll do differently next time is add more apricots. And thats only because I prefer more fruit in my fruit breads.

Baked Fish with Shrimp

Just baked this for dinner. And all five of my children ate it. Ages 7-13. Before making it I read the other peoples reviews as I always do. Most everyone said it was a little bland. I didn't have any sherry on hand. So I altered the recipes my added a little flavor to the fish. First I dipped it in milk then into flour. After I laid the fillet in the baking dish I sprinkled them with lemon pepper and then made the sauce as written. Then sprinkled paprika on top, and baked it. It turned out great.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

This turned out great the second time I made it. It was ok the first time, but a little dry. As always, before making a recipe I read the reviews. So if I have trouble with something I can hopefully fix it along the way. Which holds true for this recipe. It was too dry the first time and had to keep adding water. The second time I made it I decreased the flour to 4 1/2 cups and it worked great.

Italian Bread Baked on a Pizza Stone

This recipe was GREAT. I did notice the dough was a little sticky while I was mixing it so I added another 1/4 cup flour and it turned out great. I didn't have any problem with it sticking. I'll have to make double the recipe next time. It wasn't enough for my family of 7. My five children all wanted seconds and thirds. Thanks for a Great and easy recipe.
