I would not consider myself a professional cook.. yet. But I am on my way. I learned how to cook a few years ago. There was a moment in my life when I didn't have a fridge in a small house I rented for a short time so everything was microwaved. After that, I taught myself to cook, along with others teaching me, and have loved cooking ever since.
My favorite things to cook
Homemade macaroni & cheese, Fried Tilapia, Baked Spaghetti, Alfredo, Cheesecake, Homemade pizza, and many more things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother doesn't cook much anymore but my favorite things I miss are her macaroni & cheese and lasagna dishes. When I was younger, during the summer my dad use to make the best fried green tomatoes.
My cooking triumphs
One day, for me & my boyfriend I created a Mexican Night. I made Chicken Quesadillas and Beef Mexican Pizzas. And another time I made Beef Enchiladas and it all came out perfect.
My cooking tragedies
I made Dirty Rice for the first time about 2 years ago. When it came down to the last step I forgot to turn the stove down from High to Med-Lo. I walked out of the kitchen for a couple minutes and I had burned the bottom of the pan and had to scrape the rice off. Some was burnt but my family still ate it and called it cajun lol.
