I help cook a grand meal every Friday for the homele3ss and hungry people in our town. It's almost 8 years now but their favorites are my grandmother's chicken and dumplings (some call them noodles but my grandma called them dumplings), lasagna using spaghetti squash instead of noodles, my pumpkin pie dessert.

Sausage Jalapeno Poppers
These are my most asked for appetizer. I add a half an onion to the cooking sausage and while the sausage is still hot I add the cream cheese to it with my hands; then stuff, wrap and bake. Be sure to make enough.

Beef Meatballs and Picante Glaze
You're going to love this recipe. We made it with grape jelly and spaghetti sauce for years but wait till you try it with picante sauce...wow. I had grave doubts but just dive in and you will have rave reviews. The kind that has you making this recipe over and over again. Enjoy!

Southern Fried Green Beans
This is my families favorite veggie recipe but after the bacon gets crisp I add 1/2 a diced onion, cook 5 minutes then add fresh green beans (about a pound or two). My neice loves them better when I add 1/2 pound of new potatoes. Yum.
