Cinnamon Rolls I

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2009
I made this recipe today and was really surprised! I bake on a pretty regular basis but have never done any yeast items so this was a first for me. Even though I don't own a bread maker or think that they rised suffiecently, they came out fabulous. I did tweak the recipe a bit though. :) I followed the breading recipe to a t, and thought the dough was a little wet but it was still workable. On the caramel recipe, I added a little more brown sugar and butter. Once I lined the pan, I sprinkled chopped pecans on it. On the filling, I melted a whole stick, added more brown sugar, around a teaspoon of cinnamon, and a little white sugar. I made extra so I could pour it over the cinnamon rolls once I got them out of the oven. These are ooey gooey goodness! I just love them. They are moist and light! Fabulous recipe!

Traditional Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
I love this recipe! I love the crunch, the taste, how fluffy, and how crumbly it is! It just a great recipe. I would have given it 5 stars but I think the recipe is a touch off somewhere. I added at least another 2 cups of flour, if not more, along the way to get it to a recipe I could at least touch and not be totally covered or it being like a batter. I,also, ended up using more sugar and cinnamon but we have a bit of a sweet tooth in the house. What was left over, I just mixed with the butter and poured over the top. Extra, crunchy goodness! LOL! I don't think this recipe is for the beginner baker though. It requires lots of time and patience, and sometimes, trial and error. This is a fantastic recipe! I wouldn't attempt it if you didn't have a lot of time to spare. It took me around 4 hours from start to finish. I knew going into it that it was going to take a while so I was prepared. It is well worth all the time you put into it! I will upload some pics.

Outrageous Warm Chicken Nacho Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
This is absolute must have dip for any occasion! I made this dip on Saturday for a party we had, and there was nothing left of it in no time! Still had leftovers of lots of other things but this dip! It is so good that you can't stop eating it! I will safely say that it has taken the place of my faithful queso dip and it is now my favorite!

Black Walnut Pound Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2009
I love this pound cake! I have been searching for a fabulous pound cake recipe forever and finally decided on this one. This was my first pound cake but it was easy and came out fabulously! Everyone loved it! It didn't even make it a full 24 hours at the house. The guys just kept eating it. LOL! I just did one small thing different. My hubby doesn't like walnuts so I probably only added about half a cup instead of a full cup. Without or without the nuts, this is one heck of a pound cake!

Cinnamon Popcorn II

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
I made this today to go in Christmas packages. I am not sure what went wrong or where but the sauce never quite became a sauce. The butter and syrup melted and mixed but the red hots never totally melted away, they became a gooey mess. I mixed it all and baked it to everyone's suggestions to get the crunch but I am still not sure this recipe will make it into the packages. It tastes okay but not sure that it will be a big hit.
