I was born in Scotland and came to Canada as a child. My Mom cooked traditional Scottish dishes. I retired from the Canadian National Railway at 53. I am now a Marriage Commissioner (marry people)I read a lot a suspense, thriller every other day. Thank God for the library. I bred silver persians for years, found it to hard to part with kittens so got the cats spayed and my last white bundle of fluff
passed away last month. Love playing the slot machines (VLT's here) I plant a large veggie garden which I share with friends and family. I don't can or freeze produce. I have never used margarine or artifical sweetners.
Bring on the butter and olive oil.
My favorite things to cook
I would prefer to have a cook but I do a fair job on curried shrimp,
rack of lamb, prime rib, white lasagne, French onion soup, rhubarb cream pie, banana layer cake with banana icing. My speciality is the ultimate CARROT CASSEROLE. The writer for the Winnipeg Free press newpaper raved about my recipe. I will be posting one of these days.
