This is my first entry. I've been a Pro member for quite a few years but never used this feature before. I thought I would share my family's journey to wholesome food.
I am married to my wonderful husband, R and have two beautiful girls, L & L. We generally eat fairly well but over the last year we have strayed from healthy meals. R loves fast food and when he asks if I want to go out for fast food I can't say no. L
(4 years old) eats almost nothing except plain pasta, cucumbers and muffins. L (7 years old) is a great eater (thank goodness) and will eat most things I make. Our meals have been light on vegetables and heavier on higher fat meats.
I am a product developer for a food company that makes pies, cookies and cakes. As part of my job, I need to sample some of these everyday. I went on weight watchers about 2 years ago and lost 17 lbs. Well, about 15 of that came back over the last year.
So, my goal for 2013 is the get our family back on track. Here are my goals:
1) Make wholesome, well-balanced meals for my family.
2) Get L (4) to eat a better variety of foods.
3) I'm back on weight watchers and want to get back to my last post-ww weight.
I just found the meal planner tool and have set up our meals for the week. It is an amazing tool! I love the shopping list and the way the recipes print out. I hope this will help me be more organized and keep to my goals.
