German Pork Chops and Sauerkraut

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2014
OMG MOST DELICIOUS chops I have ever made. That was my husband's comment after his first bite. It was so good, that he told me he was taking it to lunch with him the next day. He just got home from work and told me that he was bringing another chop with him the next day for lunch. I hardly ever comment, but since my husband just told me he is going to eat it again the next day for lunch, convienced me to write a review. He said he loved the sauerkraut and I said, good thing I followed the advice of other reviewers and reduced the sugar to 1/2 cup, he told me when i make this next week, TO USE THICK BONED IN PORK CHOPS AND TO FOLLOW THE RECIPE EXACTLY AND USE THE CUP OF SUGAR... This has to be the best chops and thanks so much for sharing this awesome recipe. I would give it 10 stars if I could I did add a few adjustments, before searing the chops I coated them with salt fresh black pepper, onion powder and after removing the chops I deglazed the pan with 1/2 cup of red wine and poured it over the chops before adding the sauerkraut.

Busy Day Slow Cooker Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2014
I have not yet eatten the chili as it still has a few hours to Cook, but I stired it a few times and couldn't resist tasting it. I did adjust a few items. I used (1) 28oz can petite diced tomatos Only had (1) can stewed tomatos and add (2) medium sized onions and (2) celery stalks diced and (4) cloves garlic minced along with the green pepper and can chilies. And chili powder added (1) additional tsp chili powder and a squirt of Sriracha HOT chili sauce. OMG it tastes so awesome I maynot be able to hold off for another 3 1/2 hours. Thanks for a great chili recipe.

Extreme Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2010
I am giving this recipe a 5star rating, though I didn't use the chocolate cake recipe, I used the butter cream icing, this is bar none the best butter cream icing I ever made successfully and tasted amazingly rich and thick and so so sinful I used the cake recipe from this site "dark chocolate cake I and that is also a 5star rated cake. My husband said it's the best chocolate cake I ever made from scratch, considering I only made 2 chocolate cakes from scratch, I was more amazed when it turned out perfectly and tasted OMG so so sinfully good.. next time I make another chocolate cake I am going to make the one from this recipe.

Dark Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2010
If I could I'd give this cake a 10 star rating, it was moist and so chocolaty, the only problem I had it took a little longer to bake 35 - 40 mintues. I didn't have 9inch pans I used 3 8 inch pans. For icing for this cake I used the Icing from this site Extreme Chocolate Cake that has the BEST BUTTERCREME ICING. My husband said, it was the best chocolate cake I have ever made and I only made 2 from scratch. ha ha, he said the BUTTER CREME ICING WAS DA BOMB. he rates this cake 10+ as well and the icing he said is 20+ stars. I think next time I make another chocolate cake I am going to use the one from the icing recipe... Extreme Chocolate Cake.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
OMG that is the perfect name for this Lasagna recipe Worlds best. I made this last night now I just altered a few of the amounts I used a 1 1/2 lbs ground beef and used a whole frozen Jones "sage" sausage roll. Also I used a whole med/large onion I did not have any fresh garlic but I substituted 2 tablespoons of granulated garlic near the end of the browning processs just before adding the tomatoes mixing it well into the meat and onion mixture, I also add my ONE last shallot finely minced at the same time. I added about 3 tablespoons of sugar and about 3 tablespoons of fresh basil (from my outside garden)I did not have any italian seasonings so i added 1 tablespoons of fresh oregano I also increased the fennel seeds to 1 1/2 teaspoons (my husband loves fennel) I just added about 1 1/2 tablespoons of salt (because of the extra ground beef) and added just a little more fresh ground black pepper. I had no fresh parsley instead add 2 1/2 handfuls of dried parsley (worked just as well as fresh) I used a whole package 1 pound of mozzarella cheese (I buy them on sale and freeze them and defrost in the sink...the texture is just a bit softer when defrosted but the taste is the same) I used a full cup of grated Parmesan cheese, but I also added one pound of Asiago cheese (pre grated from the store) it added a more complex cheese taste that blended so well and I found I had so much meat sauce left I added it on top of the last layer of pasta topped with a good layer of all 3 cheeses..
