Almond Chocolate Coconut Cookies II

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2011
These were excellent! The only change I made was to use 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 cup dark chocolate chips, half almonds and half pecans, and rapadura sugar in place of the brown sugar. Oh and I also added about a teaspoon of almond extract. This is a must try recipe! Delicious!

Butter Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2011
This recipe was fantastic! I have attempted pie crust a few times before and have always struggled with it, but this recipe worked for me! I made a triple batch, refrigerated the dough overnight, then made the crust in the morning. The crusts were nice and flaky and the dough was not too hard to work with. This is my new go to recipe for pie crust!

Coconut Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2011
This was my first attempt at making a coconut pie and it turned out great! For the crust I used the Butter Flaky Pie Crust Recipe from this site. I definitely plan to make this one again!

Peach-a-Berry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2011
Delicious! I used the butter flaky pie crust recipe from this site, frozen raspberries, and 4 heaping cups of peaches. I thought it needed a little more fruit so I added about 1 cup more of frozen peaches since I didn't have any more fresh ones. It turned out great!

Ultimate Maple Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2011
these were one of the best snickerdoodles I've ever had! The dough did seem a bit dry, and the cookies dried out in a day or two. These were good though so perhaps I can find a way to add a bit more liquid to the batter.

Caramel Pecan Delight

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2011
I made this dessert for father's day and everyone enjoyed it. Even my little brother who said he doesn't really care for cheesecake said he liked it! I didn't measure the caramel, but just dumped in about half or a little more. I also didn't quite use up all the caramel for the top either. I think next time I'll wait to put the pecans on when it's time to serve.

Slow Cooker Green Beans, Ham and Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2011
This was good! My 2 year old loved it! I did throw everything in at once and the green beans and ham were frozen. I also threw in a bag of frozen okra and a sprig of fresh rosemary and cooked on low for 10 hours. Easy and delicious!

Apricot Danish Coffee Cake

Reviewed: May 23, 2011
This was very good! I did add a bit of almond extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg to the batter to add flavor, and used half sour cream and half greek yogurt for the sour cream. I think I over mixed the batter so will try to be more careful next time. Also, I just bought a 32 oz can of apricots and had only 2 halves left over.

Extra Easy Hummus

Reviewed: May 6, 2011
This was great! I did only sprinkle a bit of cumin into it, added no salt, and just a dash of olive oil and sesame oil. My 2 year old loved this too!

Creamy Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: May 5, 2011
This was an easy to do frosting and very good! I had to double the recipe to frost 24 cupcakes. I used some leftover evaporated milk and some 2% milk. Will definitely make again!

This was very good. I used as a frosting and filling. Not too sweet and could definitely taste the coffee!

Fruit 'n' Honey Granola

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2011
This granola was very good! I did replace the canola oil with coconut oil, added cocoa powder to half, and for the fruit used raisins, craisins, and chopped dried apricots. I preferred the chocolate granola!

Confetti Corn Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
My family and I really liked this recipe! I did add a little frozen corn and subbed whole wheat pastry flour for half of the all-purpose flour. Just for something different, I made these in my waffle iron. (My 2 year old loves waffles.) Then served with Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili from this site. Just awesome!

A very good and easy recipe! I will definitely be making this one again! I did add a shredded carrot and some pumpkin I had leftover from another recipe and you couldn't even tell it was there!

Thin Mint Crackers

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
I would give these ten stars if I could! They were just that awesome! Some people thought that I had bought them! I did use some of the suggestions of other reviewers and used melted Andes mints baking bits with original townhouse crackers. Will be making again and again!

Jim's Cheddar Onion Soda Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
This was so good! My dad said it tasted like pierogi bread. Everyone really liked this bread! The only change I made was to use green onion. I liked the green onion flavor better and thought it made it look prettier with the green flecks in it that kinda looked like herbs. Will definitely be making this again as it was easy and delicious!

Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
I did only use about 3/4 cup of the andes baking chips as that was all I had and I thought that was plenty. I also subbed bittersweet chips for semisweet and did not add food coloring. Even though I normally do not buy cookie mixes, this was a fast and delicious recipe that I will definitely make again!

Mocha Walnut Cookies

So delicious! This recipe is going into my favorites! I did not have instant coffee so used strong brewed coffee and also part bittersweet chocolate for the semisweet chocolate.
