Gorgonzola Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2012
This was absolutely delicious! I selected this recipe because it is simple, with few ingredients and quick. Put this over steak and it was better than anything we have ever had in a restaurant. Used slightly more gorgonzola and to prevent separating I continually stirred until heated and blended. Perfection.

Baked Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2012
4 stars because my husband was very happy with this. Like others, I found it mushy, even after baking at higher temp on top rack. My daughter found it too lemony. I probably won't make again simply because there are better baked chicken recipes out there.

Tasty summer side dish. Added some garlic and omitted the hot sauce due to personal preference. Great idea, thank you!

Blue Cheese and Pear Tartlets

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2012
These are super easy but look fancy. Followed to a T but used cresent rolls and molded them into a muffin pan to make the cups. If you like blue cheese you are going to love this recipe! I will make again, thank you!

Valentine Night Strawberries

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2012
I make these all the time as a low carb alternative to dessert. This is the best recipe on this site for this type of stuffed strawberry. I have tried this as written and it was ok, a 4 star recipe. With these modifications they are excellent: 1/2 tsp vanilla, increase sugar to 3 tbs, and instead of nuts, drizzle dark chocolate. Now, a 5 star, sure to impress. Also, the easiest way to stuff is to take a little of the bottom so the berry 'sits', then slice off top and green, then at the top, core the berry to make a hole. This is the easiest way.

Honey Dijon Brussels Sprouts

Great way to eat brussels! No changes except I didn't have any dill on hand and added some bacon. Very, very yummy! Thank you!

Bacon Feta Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2012
4 stars as written because why would anyone use frozen when you can easily use fresh? Mine was a 5 star dish because I used fresh green beans, steamed. My family loved it. Will be making often.

Ken's Perfect Hard Boiled Egg (And I Mean Perfect)

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2012
This did not produce a 'perfect egg'. Followed to a T in an effort to make our Easter Eggs peel easy after coloring. Didn't happen. I will stick with my way: after boiling put eggs in cold water for a few minutes until you can touch them, then immediately peel, refrigerate until ready to use. Must peel while egg is still warm. This is the only way I can peel hard boiled eggs without mutilating them.

Asparagus Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2012
I made this without the crust in an effort to cut back on carbs. Came out very good. I added some garlic and used 5 eggs. Will make again. Thanks!

Asparagus with Parmesan Crust

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2012
Delicious and super easy! This is a keeper! Only change is that I marinate the asparagus in olive oil, crushed garlic and balsamic in a bag for a bit before putting in the oven. Great way to make asparagus!

Lemon Cupcake with Blackberry Buttercream

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2012
Amazingly delicious! 5 stars for taste! Rave reviews from the family. Only change I made was that I used red raspberry preserves instead of blackberry simply because that is what I had. It worked perfectly. So lemony and refreshing - the flavors compliment eachother wonderfully. As written the recipes does NOT produce 24 cupcakes, I got 16 out of mine. I cut the frosting in half and had the perfect amount to frost 16 cupcakes...if I would have made the entire amount of frosting it would have been way too much.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2012
I am going to go with 4 stars, but something tells me closer to 3.5 stars the way it is written. There is way too much sugar in these. 1/2 C suffices. Also, there is no way this makes 6 cookies. I got about 14 good size cookies out of this recipe! Lastly, bake time is seriously off. Mine took about 14 minutes! Last complaint is that as written these crumble so badly they were a mess. However, the best part of these is that they were delicious! Taste just as good as a tradional recipe, maybe even better! Family loved them and they were very quick and easy! Will make again but with 1/2 C of sugar, extended bake time, and 1/2 tsp vanilla.

This works! Great way to make a few chips for a small snack. Obviously not good for more than one person/serving. All natural, few ingredients and quick!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2012
This was really, really good. My husband loved it. So, 5 stars for taste, but 4 stars as written. I reduced the butter by half and it was still too buttery and runny. I am not even sure this needs the butter - maybe 1 tablespoon? I will make again but with little or no butter.

Fiber One® Chocolate-Peanut Butter Haystacks

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2012
5 stars for the idea - not the recipe. We dislike Fiber One - tastes like cardboard so we used a low carb Kashi cereal and 70% dark chocolate with natural PB. So yummy with no guilt! Point is, this recipe is flexible - use what you like.

Smothered Filet Mignon

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2012
This was delicious. I followed the recipe as written except I reduced the sugar slightly and didnt bother with one side of the grill being hotter than the other. Someone complained about the blue cheese - saying it overwhlemed the meat - please don't skimp on the blue cheese!!! The blue cheese, along with the yummy marinade, makes the recipe! If we didn't want a blue cheese taste we would not have selected this recipe! Glad I made this for our anniversary dinner...Can't wait to make again soon!

Grill Master Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
WOW! Best wings ever! Since we don't like hot, I used mild wing sauce in place of the hot pepper sauce - other than that followed to a T. This is the only way we will eat wings from now on! Delicious!

Creamy Carrot Soup

This was ok. If you add the rosemary make sure it is very fine. I think we would have liked it better without the rosemary. I may make again with changes.
