About this Cook
I am 21 years old, but have been told I act like I am 90. I love cooking and taking care of people, especially my friends and family. I am currently trying to get my Bachelors in Nursing, then proceed to my CRNA. I have high expectations for myself, my family, and friend. Cooking gives me a time to escape. It allows me to completely follow directions but still have some "fun" to try new things. I love cooking, and of course I love eating, maybe a little too much ;).
My favorite things to cook
I am a sweet "cooker", considering I am not a very good baker. I love making different sweets. Also, I love cooking new recipes and trying them out. Some of my favorite recipes are Pasta, Enchiladas, Chicken Fried Steak, Fried Potatoes, Turnips and Turnip Greens, Pintos, and my list could go on and on and on.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I come from a casserole family. Any of you out there? When I saw casserole family, you come to any family gathering and we have about 12 of them. From green bean casserole to hashbrown casserole, squash casserole, corn casserole, three bean casserole, and you name it we probably have a casserole for it. I love my casseroles!
My cooking triumphs
Vegetarian Stuffed Zuchinni is one of my most prized triumphs. Along with my pecan pies and New York Cheesecakes!
My cooking tragedies
Baking is my WORST tragedy. However, I refuse to give up and continually bake homemade items.

Lemon Pie Bars
Yum!! These were amazing, I made a few changes, doubling the filling. With the doubled filling it was about half filling half shortbread.. not too sweet but not too tart. The Lemon Zest really really helps =) I will def make again!

Beer Bread I
Let me start off my saying this is the best quick and easy bread ever!! I loved this, the crust is super crunchy the inside is super soft. I followed the recipe to a T and used Budlight for the beer. Can not wait to try it with other beers! SO Easy!!!!!
