Excellent! One of my all time favorites. Hard to tell you're drinking alcohol though, because it goes down so smoothly!! Great to entertain with!

Caramel Martini

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2005
How can this be called a caramel martini when the only caramel is on the glass, not mixed in the drink? This is really not very good, and we won't make them again.

Bellini Meanie Martini

MMMM MMMM goood!! This recipe is excellent! I like in in champagne flutes though, it's a little more festive! Also, drop a few raspberries in the bottom of the glass--what a great taste!

Breaded Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2005
Great! I used minced garlic and 2% milk for marinating and it was wonderful! I double dipped them to add crunchiness and they fried up golden brown with a great crisp to them!!

Bill's Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2005
I didn't use maple sausage, but this was wonderful!! I had original flavored Jimmy Dean links, which I diced up and fried in a couple tablespoons of butter--flavored up those drippings! The best tasting sausage gravy I have ever made. We'll have this again and again!

Mixture for Meatballs, Meatloaf or Burgers

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2005
We were extremely disappointed in this recipe after reading all the great reviews it got. I used it for meatloaf the center was completely mushy and the top was overcooked. I followed the directions exactly, but I wonder if I didn't do something wrong. I don't know, but this will never be made in this house again.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2005
Excellent!! I did make a few changes though. I took the advice of other reviewers and spiced up the broth--I used salt, pepper, garlic and onion powders, parsley, oregano, and a bay leaf. I also used only half the beer (a light lager) and upped the amount of beef broth to make up for it. Absolutely incredible!! Great flavor to the meat and the dipping sauce was wonderful!! This will be added to my menu on a regular basis!!!

Cheesy Ranch New Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2005
Excellent!! I quartered the potatoes, then after they were cooked, I sprinkled with salt, pepper, garlic powder and parsley before covering with ranch, bacon bits, and cheddar. Great side dish that I'll make again and again!!

Grilled Pizza Wraps

Added some crumbled bacon and pizza seasonings and used pizza cheese instead of cheddar monterey and cooked it in my quesadilla maker--great meal and done in less than ten minutes!

New Red Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2005
This is absolutely the best potato salad I have ever eaten! Incredible! I modified it ever so slightly, adding only a splash of milk and vinegar rather than the full amount called for. I also used half sour cream and half mayo. I also added celery salt, onion powder, parsley, and garlic powder and used only egg whites. It actually tasted like a homemade ranch dressing, so good!!! I took it to my family reunion and there were no leftovers. I will never again make another potato salad--thanks for an amazing recipe!!!!!

Deer Jerky

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2005
Not a bad recipe, I used Cajun worcestershire that I bought in the French Quarter when I visited New Orleans and added some cayenne and red pepper flakes to make it spicier. My husband, who I made it for, says it's pretty good, but thinks I can find a better recipe, so I'll keep looking. But this was easy to put together and I'd recommend it to others. As a sidenote, my oven's lowest temperature is 170 and this recipe calls for 160--it cooked for three hours at 170 and had a great chewy texture--something to try for those who don't want to wait six hours for the jerky.

Italian Roast Beef II

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2005
On it's own, this recipe wasn't that great. However, I mixed an equal amount of Crystal Light lemonade with the italian dressing and it was great!! I think the lemonade really made the dish, because it had a whole different flavor than the last time I made it without lemonade.

Sirloin Steak with Garlic Butter

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2005
Excellent! Really gave a great flavor to the steak! I broiled them and they were wonderful! I have also used this recipe for pork steak and it comes out just as good--we didn't even need a knife to cut the pork, it was so tender! Great recipe!!

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2005
This was great!! I made it for company and got rave reviews!! Even my husband, who doesn't really like chicken said he loved it and even requested that I make it again!! The only thing I changed was to put the cheese on top in the last few minutes of baking rather than in the breadcrumbs as the recipe called for. Will become a staple in this house!!

Rump Roast Au Jus

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2005
We were very disappointed in this recipe. Based on the ratings, we thought it would be a lot better. It made tons of au jus, but it was fairly tasteless and the meat was extremely tough. We did enjoy the leftovers, however, I pulled the meat apart, warmed it in gravy and served it on potato rolls as sandwiches--now that was good! Even with the good leftovers, we won't have this again.

Garlic Top Sirloin Pot Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2004
I opted to cook this on low for eight hours, and the meat was pretty dry, but it did have a nice flavor to it. I might experiment with it again to try for a more moist cut of meat. I served it with the juice on the side and that helped make up for the dryness.
