Ten Clove Garlic Marinade

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2010
Excellent! Our new favorite marinade. Left out the onions, as they are not a favorite around here. Marinated overnight, then threw the filets on the grill. Perfect!

Great Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: May 17, 2010
I used italian dressing from a bottle, since I didn't have the packets, lessened the oil, and added a tablespoon of brown sugar. It was pretty good. My 5 year old declared it the best chicken ever, which was nice!

Pretty bland, just tastes like watered down coke. Won't be making this one again.

Japanese Style Deep Fried Shrimp

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
Excellent, but I think Old Bay is missing from the ingredients. I dusted the shrimp with Old Bay, then flour, egg, panko. Just the touch that was needed to take these over the top!

Almost No Fat Banana Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2010
Wonderful! I used all whole wheat flour, replaced sugar with Splenda, I added extra bananas, a bit more applesauce, and about 1 TBSP of oil, for texture. Tastes just as good as the full fat version! Will definitely be making this again!

Beer and Brown Sugar Steak Marinade

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2010
Delicious! I marinated the meat for about 4 hours, and it was excellent! This will become a staple around here! I used light beer, since that is what we had, and subbed soy sauce for the teriyaki. Also added garlic cloves. We all loved it!

Overnight Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2010
Excellent! I did not let it sit overnight, just baked it when done putting it together and it was fabulous! I did add a layer of the topping in the middle of the batter, then piled the rest on top. Served it to company and everyone loved it! Will definitely make this again!

Jumbo Fluffy Walnut Apple Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2010
OMG delish! The best apple muffin I've ever made. Light and fluffy! I did add extra apple and they are really moist. Also, I got 10 jumbo muffins out of this recipe, and doubled the topping to cover them. I did change the topping to 1 cup flour, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, and half teapoon of nutmeg. Excellent!

Chocolate Pinwheels

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
I made two versions, one as written, and one for Christmas, with food coloring and colored sugar. I do not like the chocolate version, it tastes very salty. I'm not quite sure why! I used good Ghirardelli chocolate, but it just doesn't taste good. The Christmas version are much better! I colored half the dough green, and put red sugar on it, and put green sugar on the remaining batter. One thing I would change is to eliminate spreading the dough with milk. Once in the oven, the milk and sugars ran together and made quite a mess, so the cookies have a kind of "runny" look, but they taste pretty good. I'll try them again, with modifications and no chocolate!

Robbi's M&M Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
I halved the recipe and only got 28 cookies, so I'm thinking there is no way you get 72 cookies out of this! LOL! But, they are just OK. Nothing spectacular here. My 5 year old likes them a lot, but he's really the only one going back for more. not bad, but not good either. Just kind of there.

Original Nestle® Toll House® Chocolate Chip Cookies

Good tasting, but they are seriously flat and crispier than I would have liked to see. But they have a nice taste, and I'll probably try them again.

Amazingly Good Eggnog

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
Excellent, though I found that I needed only half the amount of rum. It sure packs a punch, with the full amount, I'd be on the floor! LOL! Ran out of cream and used condensed milk instead..delish!

Excellent! My husband never likes my homemade bread, always preferring store bought, but he really liked these a lot! The only change I made was to use all bread flour, no wheat flour. I will make them again!

Chicken Voila

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2009
We really enjoyed this. Nothing fancy, but a good weeknight meal. I doubled the amount of gravy, and still didn't think that was enough, so I might triple it next time. I served it over rice with a side of green beans, and it was a nice change of pace. I'll make it again.

Chewy Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
Pretty good brownie, though I made some changes. I used 1/2 cup of cocoa, and lessened the flour to equal out the dry ingredients. I also eliminated one egg, and subbed a splash of milk. Once i was done mixing them, I threw in a large handful of chocolate chips, to up the chocolate factor. Took them to my son's pre-school Easter party and they devoured them! They are actually better the second day, I think. I'll make them again for sure!
