Its like a cheeseburger thats a meatloaf.... soooo good!!! i took the suggestion to layer the cheese in the middle (meat, cheese, meat) & topped w/ ketchup and mustard.... omg this is so good! I was craving "a big hunk of meat" and this satisfied that craving! Makes a great cheeseburger for leftovers w/bread!

Healing Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2010
this is a great light soup! But, if youre going to be taking pills with this, you need to add a carb or a fiber, whether it be rice, dumplings, beans, or meat. Bcuz i made the mistake of not doing that and took some pills and a vitamin and i ended up throwing up. Oh and I didnt have chicken cubes so i used beef, and it was great. I agree with the others, this is a great base recipe, but feel free to add any goodies you like. I dont think u could mess this recipe up! (unless u add something stupid like chocolate, lmao)

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2010
Mmm mmm good! 2 hrs & 20 minutes on high did it for me. Used potatos instead of foil balls. I did brown the chicken tho, but it didnt help much since the chicken ended up kind of soggy. The chicken wasnt really pretty but it still tasted sooo good! One thing I'm a little confused about tho... Why's it called "baked"?

Pita Pizza

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
PbA, thx for the tip about microwaving the shrooms b4hand to dejuice them. I actually made both pita and tortilla pizzas, since I had both items on-hand, and honestly i liked the pitas way better. they ended up crunchy & the tortillas didnt. PS.they have whole wheat & multi-grain pita pockets now. I baked mine at 350, 20 mins. And I also split my pita pocket and made two out of one. It was GREAT!

Turkey Macaroni Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
i had lots of fun playing with this one. I cooked my macaroni b4hand and took the tip of VegasEscapee, and used the cheese from box macaroni--Velveeta shells n cheese has a 2% milk recipe now! [half the fat], and it was great. However,i baked the cheese sprinkled on top for too long and it ended up hard. Next time, Im gonna skip the cheese topping to keep it creamy.

Candied Yams

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2009
I always use fresh potatos boiled, then mashed with a fork. "I cant believe its not Butter" has a great FAT-FREE butter. I also add Cinnamon and Nutmeg. I alwayz mix a little marshmallows in with the potato mixture for extra "marshmallow surprises" =] This dish turned out awesome!!!!!

Green Bean Casserole II

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2009
I used fat-free milk and Campbells makes a 98% fat-free cream of mushroom soup now... anyhoo.. it turned out GREAT! I made it for Thanksgiving and it was almost all gone. Oh I used frozen green beans also, instead of canned. Not as good, a little crunchier (fresher), but Jillian Michaels says cans release toxins in ur food...

Spam Musubi

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
So good! I loved the carmelizing on the Spam. I wrapped each musubi in its own piece of foil, and it made snacks for days! Great tips by other cooks--Use Spam can as a mold (wet it between making each one), and cook Spam on Low! Thanks for this recipe! xoxo =]

Salmon with Lemon and Dill

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2009
Oh my freakin' goodness, this salmon was soooo good! But I think a quarter cup of butter was too much. Next time I'm gonna mix w/butter and olive oil, it'll probably be better. I didn't have dill so I sprinkled Italian herbs instead. Fresh garlic spread on top was super fabulous!

Grandma's Famous Salmon Cakes

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
With some modifications, it turned out GREAT! I followed some tips on the salmon can and added a small amount of crushed croutons, fresh garlic, about 2 tbsp lemon juice, and a heaping tbsp of fat-free mayo... Rolled in crush croutons and fried in EVOO made these the BEST salmon cakes Ive ever tasted!! Even my bf who never had these b4 and hates fish (he only likes basic foods--weirdo lol) LOVED these! I tried this recipe as is, and it was ok, but with my modifications... OMG!!!!

Breaded, Fried, Softly Spiced Tofu

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
Finally got 'em right after the 3rd time making these! :) A couple tips: Soak tofu in chicken broth overnight for max flavor. Before rolling in flour, dont wring out the broth from the tofu, so its able to soak the batter and make it stick. I alternated between a bowl of seasoned flour, and a bowl of crushed, seasoned croutons & crackers. It made the "nuggets" crunchier. (Press tofu in flour 1st, then the croutons, then the flour again) Fried in olive oil, and it turned out GREAT as you can see, and tasted great also!

Its so juicy and spicy, yet the perfect amount of sweet, bcuz of the baby carrots and small amount of sugar.
