Baked Pork Chops I

Made this for dinner last night - thought it was fabulous. I had purchased pork chops not knowing what I would make, looked up recipes, and this looked the best - plus, I could make it with ingredients on hand! I cut the cooking time down to 20 minutes before sauce/20 minutes after sauce. Only used a bit of sauce during the baking process, heated up the sauce in a pan, and used the rest for those who like sauce (some in my family don't). Also, I only had cream of chicken soup, so used this, and added a clove of garlic (crushed) to kick up the flavor a bit, plus an extra dash of wine. Will definitely be making this again!

Dilled Sole with Almonds

Beaker's Vegetable Barley Soup

I was looking for a good vegetarian soup for my family, and this one was a homerun. It has delicious flavor. I read many of the reviews, and made some of the modifications suggested: I sauteed the onion and celery in butter before adding, used 3/4 cup of barley and increased the broth by a can, and I used mostly Swanson chicken broth, but also used Swanson vegetable broth. This will be a winter staple in our house. Thank you so much for the recipe!

Green Chile Stew with Pork

Green Chile Chicken Stew

I thought this was really good. Some of us ate it as soup, and some strained out the 'pork and veggie mixture and made tacos. I added a large can of hominy and cooked this in the crock pot. I also used a pork tenderloin, which shreds very easily when it has cooked in the crock pot. I cooked at high for 6 hours.

Navy Bean Soup I

Excellent soup with great flavor. I soaked the beans overnight, so I did not have to cook as long. I also added one cup of carrots to increase the veggie count. I used diced ham from the meat section. The perfect dinner for those chilly fall and winter nights.

Greek Salad III

I adore this salad. It has a fresh, delicious taste. I frequently make it for a light lunch, and it would be a great side dish too. I use less oil to lighten things up, and add more lemon juice. I also prefer plain feta cheese.

Blue Cheese Beef Tenderloin

My Canadian Friend's Bean Soup

This soup is delicious! It is easy to put together and has wonderful flavor. Next time I make it I will put in half the meat and add another can of beans, as I am not a huge meat fan. I will definitely make this again.

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Now that the weather is cool, I was looking for a good chicken noodle soup recipe. This recipe is fantastic! I am usually very suspicious of canned chicken broth, as it is so nasty straight from the can, but I made this recipe exactly as directed and it was out of his world. Hearty, yet nourishing. My whole family loved it, even my picky husband. This will be a fall/winter staple in my household.

Vinegar Based BBQ Sauce

Delicious - tastes just like the vinegar based sauce at my favorite BBQ place. You really need to be a vinegar fan to like it, though (I am, and this sauce is heaven).

Guacamole

Absolutely delicious, but definitely took more than 10 minutes prep time! More like 30 minutes (I doubled the recipe) due to the chopping of the tomatoes, cilantro, onion, garlic. But well worth it - this guacamole is very tasty! I would recommend more lime juice to give it extra kick.

Vegetarian Moussaka

Absolutely delicious - worth all of the prep time (I wish the browning did not take so long). My family loved it. I used more feta, because I love the flavor that feta imparts, and I used more parmesan too. Bravo - thanks for posting this winner!
