Bake Sale Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2011
These are so easy to make and are so delicious. I followed the recipe exactly, but noting what other reviewers said about having to double most of the ingredients I used a 7x11 baking pan and the bars were PERFECT!

Blueberry Cream Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2011
These are great! I used half brown sugar half white sugar. I used unsweetened applesauce in place of the oil and used fat-free greek yogurt in place of the sour cream. I also had an extra half a cup of blueberries plus 2 tsp of cinnamon to the flour mixture. The batter is very thick and my muffin cups were filled to the top!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2011
Oh my gosh this is the best chocolate cake I've ever had! The chocolate chips add that gooey chocolate to every bite. The only thing I did different was to use 1 cup of unsweetened applesauce in place of the oil and use fat-free sour cream. I garnished with powdered sugar and fresh raspberries

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2011
mmmm these are so good! The only things I changed were using 1c. brown sugar and 1c. white sugar in the muffin batter. My crumble topping didn't turn out due to my butter being too warm so I only placed halved pecans on top and it was to die for! To make the cream cheese into a filling instead of an icing I layered a spoonful of muffin batter on the bottom, followed by a tbsp of cream cheese, and topped with another spoonful of muffin batter.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
Oh my god these are SOOO good! I've made 3 of the top chocolate chip cookie recipes and this is #1 by far. Very soft, super easy to make, and taste awesome! I followed the recipe to a tee, I rolled the batter into small balls and got exactly 48 cookies.

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: May 16, 2011
This is the only lemon meringue pie I have ever used, it's really easy to make and is the perfect balance between sweet/sour. I followed the measurements of everything to a tee, except in place of the water I used milk to give it a more creamy flavour. I didn't have fresh lemons on hand so I used 1/2 cup of lemon juice. If you are using a deep dish pie plate, I would suggest doubling the lemon filling as my pie this time was a bit thinner than I like, but it still tastes great!

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2011
These are really easy to make and I didn't find them to be time consuming at all. You can make so many different combinations with these. I would have used only 1/2 - 3/4 jar of the icing though. I would have liked a bit more "cake" - but I know for next time!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2011
This is zucchini bread just like my mom used to make. I used 1c. brown sugar, 1 c. white sugar. I also didn't measure my grated zucchini - I used 2 medium sized ones. I also put 1 cut of milk/white chocolate swirled chocolate chips in place of the walnuts. This makes 2 dense and moist zucchini loaves. Yumm!

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
I followed the recipe exactly and my cupcakes turned out great. I think the only way these would ever turn out dry is if you overbake them. Adjust the cooking time according to your oven. I have a really hot oven so I only baked them for 13 minutes (when they browned on top and when a toothpick inserted came out clean). I topped them with a lemon buttercream frosting. Yummy!

Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
This is SO good! And tastes even better as leftovers. I added more spices to the ground beef while cooking, like garlic, italian seasoning, and pepper. I also added some italian seasoning to the spaghetti mixture. I used 2 jars of sauces and it came out with just enough sauce. I don't think 1 jar would be enough for our tastes, anyway.

Super Moist Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
The only thing I changed was I substituted applesauce for all the oil and coconut milk. It turned out really moist and you won't notice the applesauce at all. I didn't use coconut or walnuts either. I made this into muffins and a mini loaf.

Layered Mint Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
I doubled the recipe to fit in a 9x13 pan. I used 6 cups of chocolate chips in total and about 4 cups of white chips for the middle. If it gets really thick and hard to spread, put a dash of milk it works great.

Sugar Cookie Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2010
I used the Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies off this site and topped them with this icing. I was about 1/2 cup short of confectioner's sugar but that didn't seem to matter too much. When I was mixing it, I was worried I wasn't going to have enough icing because I had 6 dozen cookies to ice. However, I had way more than enough! This is definitely a "frosting" like on a cake, but all I did was fill 4 individual bowls with the frosting and add food colouring depending on the colour I needed.

Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2010
These are awesome! I love cream cheese so I was really hoping they would turn out. I followed what other reviewers did and used 1 1/2 cups of white sugar, an 8 oz. brick of cream cheese and 3 1/2 cups of flour. This made 6 dozen cookies for me. I chilled the dough overnight - I made the cookies at 7pm the night before and began rolling them out at 10am the next morning. They were a bit tough so you may need to really knead the dough. The dough is really easy to work with, I found it wasn't sticky at all. I decorated them with Sugar Cookie Frosting off this site. Enjoy!

Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
I love this recipe! It's so easy to make. I didn't have enough maple syrup, so I just substituted with honey and that worked great. I also add about 1/2 tsp of ginger.

Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2010
I read a few reviews before making this that said it tastes a lot like dark chocolate. I don't like dark chocolate much, so I used 1 cup milk chocolate chips, 2 cups semi-sweet chips, and 3 cups of white chocolate chips. However, this makes it really sweet so you may not need to use all the sweetened condensed milk.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2010
For you peanut butter & chocolate lovers out there, these are the cookies for you! I followed the recipe exactly and the cookies turned out perfect, this is a very easy cookie to make. Make sure that you freeze the PBcups first. My first batch I made sure they were frozen and it worked great, but my second batch had been sitting at room temp for a little while and they started to melt right away, making the cookie not look as nice.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
This was really easy to make and turned out awesome. This was my first ever homemade pizza, I didn't have a pizza pan so I put it on a baking sheet since the recipe calls for a "giant pizza crust". I followed the recipe to a tee, but next time I might add a few spices to it but it truly is awesome just the way it is. I paired it with Exquisite Pizza Sauce from this site.

Chicken With Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2010
This recipe is delicious! I too sauteed half the mushrooms in garlic and added more spices to the eggs and bread crumbs then added the mozza cheese to the last 10 minutes of baking. So yummy!! It got rave reviews
