About this Cook
Before I left home, I had only cooked KD and soup, really. After going through post-secondary school, I now live with my boyfriend of 2 years. I discovered about 6 months ago how much I love to cook. Doesn't matter what it is, I love trying new recipes and experimenting with different things. I also try to eat as organic as I can, which is a little difficult where I live, but I'm trying to incoporate more into my cooking.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake: cookies, squares, breads, cakes, you name it.
My cooking triumphs
My first-ever lemon meringue pie that turned out, and tasted, perfect. Also lamb chops I recently did up that were awesome - I had never had lamb before and I now love it.
My cooking tragedies
One of the first times using my very hot oven, I ended up reeeally burning a batch of oatmeal cookies.

Bake Sale Lemon Bars
These are so easy to make and are so delicious. I followed the recipe exactly, but noting what other reviewers said about having to double most of the ingredients I used a 7x11 baking pan and the bars were PERFECT!

Blueberry Cream Muffins
These are great! I used half brown sugar half white sugar. I used unsweetened applesauce in place of the oil and used fat-free greek yogurt in place of the sour cream. I also had an extra half a cup of blueberries plus 2 tsp of cinnamon to the flour mixture. The batter is very thick and my muffin cups were filled to the top!

Too Much Chocolate Cake
Oh my gosh this is the best chocolate cake I've ever had! The chocolate chips add that gooey chocolate to every bite. The only thing I did different was to use 1 cup of unsweetened applesauce in place of the oil and use fat-free sour cream. I garnished with powdered sugar and fresh raspberries
