About this Cook
I am a truck driver which makes it hard for me to store and cook food, so when I get home I cook. I am home one or 2 days a week and I try to cook something new every time. (though I go back to some favorites if the mood hits me.) Thanks all for the recipes and reviews. they keep me coming here
My favorite things to cook
Anything except asian dishes
My favorite family cooking traditions
very very poor. look for anything labeled cajun or blackened and thats what my family makes....and thats just the salads
My cooking triumphs
<----Kabob King Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup Jambalaya
My cooking tragedies
umm....anything involving spinach or split pea soup....horrible horrible split pea soup

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup
I've tried countless potato soup recipes over the years and it never came out right. Not once did I think about making a roux instead of cream. This came out perfectly thick and creamy. Not to mention it was really quick on a lazy rainy day. Thanks for sharing!

Grilled Zucchini and Squash
This could be a five star recipe with just a few adjustments. Less butter is the main thing but adding sliced onions and cherry tomatoes make this an absolute super dish. I found the cooking time a little short 30 minutes is probably closer to what it needs even for a slightly crisper veggie. Dont forget to turn it regularly so the butter coats everything also.

Jamaican Jerked Chicken
I thought this needed very little change. I expected something sweeter and more citrus flavored despite the peppers but thought the recipe came out very well. My Family insists I make it when my in-laws come out, though I may try concentrated OJ next time.
