Cowgirl Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2010
Delicious!! I didn't have macadamia nuts, so I used cashews. Note that this makes a very large batch. I was overflowing my KitchenAid! Next time I will make a half batch. This time I froze half the cookie dough.

Fish Sinigang (Tilapia) - Filipino Sour Broth Dish

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
I thought this was delicious. I needed about twice as much water. I used canned tomatoes, added dried sliced shitake mushrooms and a bit of salt.

Slow Cooker Cashew Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
the chicken was overcooked, and the flavor was somehow both bland and unpleasant. I won't be making this again.

Cheesy Leek Strata

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
I of course didn't read the part where I was supposed to let the strata refrigerate (2 hours to overnight) until I was in the middle of making it, and the family was waiting for dinner! I pressed the strata down for a few minutes, but I skipped the refrigeration. I still thought it was delicious!

Rosy's Palak Paneer

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2010
I found this needed about twice as much spinach and half as much paneer, but it was otherwise delicious!

Megan's Granola

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2011
My whole family loves this granola. It's less sweet than the store-bought stuff and just delicious! I made a half-batch last time. This time I'm making a whole batch.

Fresh Asparagus Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2009
I thought this was pretty good. My husband really liked it. I think I might have used too much onion. Definitely don't go overboard on the onions, since they aren't sauteed in this recipe and can be strong. I used 2% milk instead of soy.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2011
Very good! I thought the cream cheese taste was a little strong, so next time I will use less cream cheese and more Parmesan. The amount of sauce was perfect for 1 lb of pasta.

Chicken and Tomato Stew with Arugula and Cannellini

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2010
Yummy. This wasn't much like a stew. I had to add extra liquid just to keep it from being dry.

Molasses Cookies

Reviewed: May 26, 2010
These taste great. Mine came out pretty flat, though, not like in the picture. I cooked for only 7 minutes, as other reviewers suggested, and they were already getting brown on the edges.

Oven Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
Best roasted potatoes I've tasted! The spice ratios were just perfect, which surprised me since they were so easy – 1 Tbsp each.

Sicilian Garlic Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2013
Delicious! I love garlic, but I used half the called for amount and thought it was perfect. The first time I made this, I tried using a hand-blender instead of a food processor, which didn't work. Go straight for the food processor!

Delicious! Next time I'm going to try less potato and more corn and chicken. It as great as written, though!

Sticky Chicken Strips

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2013
I don't know what went wrong, but this came out terrible when I made it. It took forever to cook, never got sticky, and it just tasted like I had dumped way too much soy sauce on some chicken strips.

Roasted Vegetable Medley

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2013
These roasted veggies are delicious. I found that they cooked much quicker than advertised (less than 15' for each round, and I think I would cook at a lower temperature next time), but maybe my chunks were smaller. Instead of drizzling olive oil, I mixed each set of veggies with the olive oil before spreading them out on the cookie sheet, which worked well. I served the veggies with simple olive oil and parmesan egg noodles, and I thought they went great together.

I added some shredded coconut and didn't bother flattening. These were delicious and a big hit! Everybody took some home after the party.

Delicious! I found it a bit thin, so I added file powder at the end, but the flavor was great.
