Cowgirl Cookies

Delicious!! I didn't have macadamia nuts, so I used cashews. Note that this makes a very large batch. I was overflowing my KitchenAid! Next time I will make a half batch. This time I froze half the cookie dough.

I thought this was delicious. I needed about twice as much water. I used canned tomatoes, added dried sliced shitake mushrooms and a bit of salt.

Cheesy Leek Strata

I of course didn't read the part where I was supposed to let the strata refrigerate (2 hours to overnight) until I was in the middle of making it, and the family was waiting for dinner! I pressed the strata down for a few minutes, but I skipped the refrigeration. I still thought it was delicious!

Fresh Asparagus Soup

I thought this was pretty good. My husband really liked it. I think I might have used too much onion. Definitely don't go overboard on the onions, since they aren't sauteed in this recipe and can be strong. I used 2% milk instead of soy.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Very good! I thought the cream cheese taste was a little strong, so next time I will use less cream cheese and more Parmesan. The amount of sauce was perfect for 1 lb of pasta.

These taste great. Mine came out pretty flat, though, not like in the picture. I cooked for only 7 minutes, as other reviewers suggested, and they were already getting brown on the edges.

Sicilian Garlic Sauce

Delicious! I love garlic, but I used half the called for amount and thought it was perfect. The first time I made this, I tried using a hand-blender instead of a food processor, which didn't work. Go straight for the food processor!

Sticky Chicken Strips

I don't know what went wrong, but this came out terrible when I made it. It took forever to cook, never got sticky, and it just tasted like I had dumped way too much soy sauce on some chicken strips.

Roasted Vegetable Medley

These roasted veggies are delicious. I found that they cooked much quicker than advertised (less than 15' for each round, and I think I would cook at a lower temperature next time), but maybe my chunks were smaller. Instead of drizzling olive oil, I mixed each set of veggies with the olive oil before spreading them out on the cookie sheet, which worked well. I served the veggies with simple olive oil and parmesan egg noodles, and I thought they went great together.
