Slow Cooker Turkey Legs

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2013
This was WONDERFUL. I made it exactly how the recipe called and even fixed the quick stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce to go with it. The whole meal was delicious. ......... I do agree with previous reviews about reducing the cooking time. I cooked mine on low for 6 hours and it was more than long enough.

Rita's Sweet Holiday Baked Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2011
this glaze was very good. it is very thin, its not thick at all but it has a good flavor when it is done. Getting started it smells AWFUL, I thought for sure it was going to ruin my ham at first but in the end it turned out fine. I did use the bag and basted 2 or 3 times. I wasnt quite sure why it needed orange juice and ginger ale, but the ham is delicious. I give 4 stars becuase of the cost of the ingredients involved. the cost to make the glaze was as much as the ham itself.

Chicken and Mushroom Saute

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2011
this recipe was delicious! .............. I did have a little trouble getting the sauce to thicken so i doubled the cornstarch (mixed with cold water, of course) and it thickened up right away. My husband loved it! Will definately make it again soon only next time i will substitute one cup of water for one cup of wine and serve it over linguine as I have read in some of the other reviews! Thanks for sharing!

Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2011
ok this recipe was very good however, I do not recommend cooking the chicken with the salsa on it the whole time. I think it is much better if you put the salsa on at the very end when you add the cheese.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2011
this is the first time i have ever given a 5 star recipe review and it is well deserved. This soup/chili was a complete hit with my family! I made it exactly how the recipe reads without changing a thing and i am so glad i did. I was a little nearvous about adding the beer, as no one in my house drinks, but when it is done you cannot taste it nor do you even know its there! will be making this again for sure, even my son who is usually a fussy eater loved it! It was pretty simple to make too. 5 stars!

Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2011
this recipe was very flavorful! it was also easy to make which made for a great weeknight meal. .....I did feel like it had a little too much mayonaise in it, I think next time i make it i will reduce the amount of mayonaise to about half and do the other half sour cream.

Scim's Fettucine Alfredo with Shrimp

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2011
After a very rocky start this recipe actually turned out excellent!!! .... I had a some trouble getting the sauce to thicken up, I thought for sure we were going to be having alfredo soup, but after adding a teaspoon of flour (as per previous reviews) and letting it sit and cool for a while, it finally did thicken up and wow did it turn out fabulous! ..... I also added a little fresh garlic and some basil. ...... Also i think the recipe meant to call for uncooked shrimp considering the cooking time. I just added my cooked shrimp durring the last few minutes of cooking

Basic Broiled Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2011
Made this recipe for my family, they all started putting ranch dressing on it. The chicken was not overcooked, it was very moist and juicy, however it was very plain. Hence the ranch dressing. ..... It really just needed more flavor. Next time I want to make broiled chicken i will just use a regular marinade.
