Fresh Tabbouleh

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2014
MMMMMMMmmMMmMMmmmmMm! So Fresh and tastey! The perfect vegetarian main or side dish! It had lovely fresh flavors and the green pepper gave it the ideal about of crunch. I also threw in some chopped cucumber that I had in the fridge. I didnt measure anything out, just cooked 2dl of bulgur up and chopped a ton of the suggested veggies. Only used half the dressing as it was already evenly coated by that point. Next time I will add chopped fresh chili peppers for a kick. :) Thanks so much for sharing!!!

Veggie Quinoa Burgers

Reviewed: May 13, 2014
Wonderful, well-rounded flavor! Lots of prep, even with my mini chopper. Very sticky mixture, so I wasn't able to fry them on the pan like some suggested. I decided on a mess free/leave the kitchen option (silicone cupcake cups). It worked beautifully and when I popped them out they were cute little cakes. I drizzled with nonfat yogurt with crushed garlic in it and served with asparagus. Enjoy this, very yummy!

Fresh Salsa

Wonderful! Left out the jicama, due to lack of availability. Left out green onions and lime juice for simplicity's sake. It was really flavorful and my guests and I enjoyed every bite! :) Thank you for sharing!

Pretty in Pink Sangria

Reviewed: May 2, 2014
Based on the other reviews, I am sure this punch is really fantastic. I, however, live abroad and lemonade concentrate is not something we have here. I also had a time cruch (so I didnt want to make it from scratch). I instead put in the wine, pinapple juice, sprite (couldn't find ginger ale), and 3 fresh squeezed lemons. Then I added 250g of fresh strawberries. I thought the flavor of my 'somewhat random/but inspired by this recipe' was mediocre at best. :( Next time I will just find one that I can follow more closely. Thanks for sharing, though!

Kay Dee's Recipe for Potato Latkes

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2014
Fantastic! My husband and I really enjoyed dinner tonight :) I altered the recipe to adjust to my flavor craving taste buds :) I used 2 cups total grated veggie--1.5 cups potato and half a cup of grated zucchini, only used two eggs, didn't bother to dry off the grated mix (added just a touch more flour instead), added a bit of nutmeg to the mix as well as some pepper and onion powder. Reduced the salt to 1 tsp. served with nonfat plain yogurt instead of sour cream as it was what I had in the fridge. I can highly recommend this dish!

Rhubarb Sauce II

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2014
I left out the butter, cooked down the rhubarb in a small bit of water. I made a bit bigger portion, 2.2lbs of rhubarb, 3/4 cup sugar. Very nice. Thanks!

Grandad's Pancakes

Wonderful consistency! I was nervous about the amount of sugar...but it didn't really matter. On my gas stove, cooking on low heat with a good amount of veg. oil was key.

It was delicious!! A bit clumpy, but hey...it doesn't have to be perfect, just homemade! :)

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2012
Wow, that is sweet!!!! I might have a bias being that I moved to Denmark, EU 3 years ago--I have probably become accustomed to a different level of sugar, but when I brought this to a dinner party with myself, a Dane, and three Italians we almost fell out of our charis from sugar shock. In the past I have used evaporated milk and white sugar so I can control the amount. I think I might try doing half the can of condensed milk and an equal amount of heavy whipping cream.
