Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2011
Not bad, I used strawberries, kiwi, granny smith apples, peach, blueberries and chopped all in my mini chopper to get more of a salsa type. I put honey on it as this was what I had as far as jelly. Chips were good, but do take a while to make.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2011
I did not want to use the oven since it was so hot, so I cooked in microwave about 1/2 the time. Turned out juicy and tasted good. Will fix again.

Self-Filled Cupcakes I

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2011
I made these w/ yellow cake mix since that was what I had. I added the cream cheese and mixed in some cocoa instead of chips. I think next time I would add some vanilla chips or maybe butterscotch to a few to see how they do. Mine mixed up more like a mousse. I will try next time w/ red velvet. I have ate the ones made just like the recipe before and they are wonderful.

Savory Grilled Potatoes

Wow, tastes like scalloped potatoes fixed on the grill. They were so good! Fixed just as listed other than I only had dried parsley on hand. I cannot rave enough on these!

Orange Glaze for Ham

Easy and tasted good. Used on ham slices that I fixed in the oven. Will use again. Did add some honey as suggested. I did not have the can of mandarin oranges.

Jenny's Grilled Chicken Breasts

Not too bad. Chicken was juicy. Used garlic powder instead of onion powder since that was what I had.

Whipped Frosting I

Reviewed: May 10, 2011
Excellent! I used this on a yellow cake and added cut fresh strawberries! Will def make again! The only downside was it did not make enough frosting. I made two loaf pans of cake and cut each in half so it was not quite enough for that. Had to just put icing in the middle and on top, none left for sides.

Cinnamon Rolls II

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2011
Based on other suggestions, I cut back the sugar in bread part to 1/2 cup, but I don't think it is sweet enough. I am not a beginner as far as bread, and had difficulty w/ this one. I followed the recipe as far as just rising the bread once (instead of twice as some did) and then they sat for many, many hours, w/o a lot of rise. But the rolls do look okay, but they did not rise as big as I thought they should. Mine were not really moist, so probably baked them too long. I baked at 350 for 25 minutes. The filling did run out, but did not stick to my pans (used pyrex, LB pottery, and an alum. pie plate). I cut back the brown sugar in middle to 1 1/2 cups. I probably would add a little more cinnamon since don't taste much of it. Tried cutting w/ floss, but did not go well, used a sharp knife instead. Don't know that I will make again since I struggled so much. They are good, but not enough for me to rate the amount of work involved. Taking to church this am and hope all enjoy them.

Sunshine Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
I used thighs and legs and we thought it had a really good flavor. I did not have syrup, so I used honey instead and it was great. A little messy to eat.

Traditional Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2010
This is an excellent Salisbury Steak! Much better than a lot of those that use the brown gravy mix since my husband does not like brown gravy. It was wonderful as is...I didn't change a thing in the recipe other than I cooked it in the oven. Will make again!

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Really tender and a great change from my usual with mushroom soup. I did leave out the celery as I hate it and took the advice of others and added garlic and some Worcester sauce.

Pasta Pomodoro

I cut the recipe for 1 and enjoyed it. Wish I would have used a little more garlic to flavor it more. I used cherry tomatoes as that was what we had from the garden and they worked well.

Marinated Tuna Steak

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2010
This was the first time I fixed Tuna Steak and thought this did well. Be careful not to marinade it too long (less than an hour is good). Really easy and will try again. Don't overcook either - I did these at 5 to 6 minutes and it was almost too long.

Took this to church for Easter breakfast. Had only one piece left. Very easy to make and great taste. Did follow suggestions to 1/2 the cream cheese mix and it was plenty.
