About this Cook
I'm a 23 year old wife to Floyd (Oct 2005) and mom to Grady (nearly two!) My life revolves around these two men and if I know anything, a way to a man's heart is through his stomach. I absolutely love making dinner for them and to see their faces when they try my new concoctions (hopefully happy faces!) I have a couple of autoimmune diseases that make the simple things in day to day life hard. Months have gone by where I haven't been able to make dinner let alone try new recipes. I've had 5 strokes due to a disease called APS or Hughes Syndrome. Basically I just have sticky, thick blood. I also have mixed connective tissue disorder which can flare up at any time. But I wouldn't be here without my guys and I try once a week to make one new recipe. Kind of a small goal, but I am thrilled to be able to do anything like this! Thanks for reading!
My favorite things to cook
For some reason I am all about making chicken recipes. It is inexpensive and there seems to be boundless options for recipes! I try to make it all different ways: Asian or Mexican, Baked or stirfryed!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My dad has been known in the family for quite some time as the pizza king. His pizza is so incredibly good and there isn't a shred of Italian blood running through his veins! One of his famous pizza inventions were Paul's Pizza Puffs that I hope to share on here soon!

Parmesan Chicken II
While this recipe was amazing, I changed quite a few things to give it more flavor. I mixed the parmesan with equal portions bread crumbs. I also added one clove of garlic, minced. Another thing I would also highly recommend would be separating the chicken from the bone, heating oil in a pan over medium heat and cook it on the stove top rather then in the oven. It was incredibly succulent!

Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken
This was AMAZING! I can't wait to make it for my extended family as well! We used fresh garlic and I think that added to the fresh taste!
