I am almost 60 years old. I have been a construction wife for over 35 years and can pinch a penny until it screams. Especially when in come to food. Baked goodies that I shouldn't eat. I like to experiment with cooking and end up with something like "Hamburger Surprise" or "Tuna Surprise" cookies at Christmas. Pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving. When we had dairy goats, I made custard from their milk and won a first prize at our county fair. Rarely, those "surprizes" I whip up are not very good. Sometimes, my cooking is not pretty but tastes good and it doesn't make any diffrence to my family what it looks like.
