These are YUMMO! I made these almost exactly like the recipe says except I used 1 whole egg. They are chewy, flavorful. All who tried them liked them, even one person who doesn't like carob.

This is a great tasting and easy recipe, I just combined all the dry ingredients in my food processor. I doubled the recipe and substituted sucanat for the brown sugar and it was wonderful, I made it at the health food store that I work at and it was a BIG BIG hit.

Apple-Cranberry Salad

Mom's Eggnog

I just made this. I agree with the other reader, it does not tell you when to put the vanilla in so I just added it to the milk flour sugar mixture as it was cooking along with cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. After cooking milk mixture, I took it off the heat to cool, doesn't say how long to let it cool before you add the beaten whites, I added them when it was still hot and they don't FOLD in at all, I ended up beating them in with whisk. Has great flavor and I will probably make again.

Broccoli and Tortellini Salad

Caramelized Brussels Sprouts with Pistachios

I used white onions with red onions. I work as a cook and they went over very very well, even someone who never would eat brussel sprouts before tried and liked them.

Honey Cornbread

a very tasty recipe. I added whole corn to it, and used bacon fat instead of oil. baked it in a cast iron skillet. I will use this recipe again.

Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato Soup

I modified the recipe to fit my needs. Made it a little easier. Sauteed onion, peppers (not roasted) and cherry tomatoes together. Added tomato puree, veggie base, cooked and then pureed the pulp all together. Very good.
