Firecracker Grilled Alaska Salmon

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2013
I typically like my salmon with just lemon, butter, garlic, salt and pepper, but if you want to try to spice things up a little, this was very tasty.

Boiled Water

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2013
I've tried all kinds of instant versions, but making it from scratch is the only way to go! Be sure to follow the directions very carefully. I ruined several batches by not waiting for step 3, waiting for the water to start bubbling.

Cowboy Caviar ala Chef-Jeff

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2011
This variation of cowboy caviar differs slightly from the one I've seen on other sites. I altered mine to make it more like those. I added one ripe avocado, used fresh tomatoes instead of canned and instead of garlic salt, I used a half a teaspoon of regular salt and 4 cloves of fresh garlic chopped up in a food processor. I also used half the amount of picked jalapeno peppers they call for here. That seems like a crazy amount to me and I do like spicy food. I think that next time I'm going to use the Kraft Zesty Italian Dressing and add some lime juice.

Baron of Beef Roast

This was delicious! I wasn't able to find the Montreal steak sauce down here in Seattle, but the A-1 seemed to work. Thanks!

Profanity Salmon

Reviewed: May 9, 2005
I made this for my wife on Mother's Day and it really was delicious. She's very critical about my cooking, but this one actually got some favorable comments. The recipe calls for 1 green bell pepper and 1 onion, but it was immediately apparent that this is twice as much of what is actually needed. I would also add those two items into the foil after five or so minutes of cooking so that they don't get so mushy.

Barb's Famous Allrecipes Popcorn

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2004
This popcorn is delicious! So light and fluffy. Of course, this popcorn is best when prepared in an industrial-sized movie theatre style popcorn popper. Someone at work tried this recipe along with this seasoning junk which really ruined the natural yumminess of the popcorn. I know that some people like that sort of thing, but I would recommend that you stick to the basics when it comes to popcorn.

Oranged Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2002
I prepared this several years ago for Thanksgiving and everyone loved it. They ask me to prepare it now every year. You'll never buy cranberry sauce from a jar or can again.

A co-worker made a batch of these and I have to say, they are just about the most delicious thing I have ever tasted. Now I know what to do with all those zucchini's from our garden.

Amaretto Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2002
Very yummy and very fast to make. Personally, I felt that the icing was a little thin so I added another cup of powdered sugar to it. Be careful when you adjust the serving size to the recipe. It doesn't adjust the numbers in the "steps" portion of the recipe.

Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2001
I found this recipe in Allrecipes' wonderful "tried & true cookie" book, but just had to hop online to rate it. I always thought that biscotti was difficult to make, but this recipe is so easy! Well, there is shelling the pistachios of course, but the rest is a breeze. And it's delicious to boot.
