Fig and Olive Tapenade

Yum! I had to make a few substitutions, and it still turned out yummy. Thanks for a slightly sweet tapenade recipe!

Curried Butternut Squash and Pear Soup

Delish. Great flavor! I added a sprinkle of red pepper, and topped it with shredded white Irish cheese - a bit unconventional, but surprisingly pleasing!

Sour Cream Peach Kuchen

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2012
I'm most sorry to say this, but this was a failure. It might just be a personal taste, thing, but it was just not sweet enough! The under layer of this recipe was more like a pie crust than what I like. The yogurt/sour cream layer was not sweet at all. I'm going back to using my recipe with the cake mix.

Onion Soup Mix

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2012
I use this all the time. It is great in place of packaged soup mix in recipes. I know this sounds weird, but I needed this recipe so I could figure out how to make onion soup mix w/o the onions (husband can't stand them). Thanks to this, I have been able to put a few of my favorite recipes back into the rotation with a few minor modifications. No onion flakes, no onion powder, and the correct amount of bouillion. Thanks!

Roxie's Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2012
We've made these over a dozen times. It has become a true staple in our home. I love the flavor the honey gives these perfect muffins. We use more raisins - love those plump little guys, but the recipe needs no more tinkering. Perfect!

Roasted Mushroom and Sunchoke Bisque

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2012
I've got to give this 5 stars. Really delicious. These days, I rarely try recipes with so few ratings, and I'm so glad I did this time! What fabulous flavor. What a perfect combination of ingredients. I did find that after simmering and blending, there wasn't enough liquid for the proper consistency. I just added milk until it looked right. Other than that, follow the recipe, though. The recipe is dead on. Thanks, "smallu."

White Almond Wedding Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2012
Made these into 24 cupcakes. Seriously - SOOOO GOOOOD! One reviewer said the crumb was too dense for her taste. That put me over the edge to try this recipe. I love a good, dense crumb. I'm not a huge fan of storebought cakes and cakemixes. The crumb of this cake is more like angel food cake than a typical cake. Mmmmmm. The taste is unbeatable! I absolutely love the almond flavoring. Such a delicious taste. I topped this with whipping cream mixed with cream cheese and sugar. Really... these were so delicious. Could work for the nicest of nice situations - including a wedding. Lovely pearly white look. The picture (shown) really doesn't do them justice.

Yummy! My Mom used to make these. If you're substituting margarine for the shortening, (like me) be sure to cut the salt, or omit it altogether. Thanks for the great recipe!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Never goes wrong. Simple, easy, and tasty - every time. My roasts turn out tender and so good. We often double the "sauce" ingredients and serve it as a gravy over mashed potatoes. Delish!

Egg and Cheese Puffs

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
Yum! I'll be honest, I like these best without the bacon, chilies, and salsa. I undercook them a bit for one of the easiest, healthiest, most delectable cheese souffles you've ever tasted. I'm pretty sure that wasn't the intent of the recipe, but I'm super glad you've shared it, anyway. I've made it 3 times, now. Delish!

Balsamic Vinaigrette

Delish. This dressing is especially good with a salad including fresh, homegrown tomatoes. I've made it half a dozen times, now. It's permanently on the recipe rotation! Make sure you add a bit of sugar, as suggested by another reviewer. I add a good teaspoon, or so.

Garbanzo Bean Chocolate Cake (Gluten Free!)

Mmmm. I was seriously nervous to try this recipe, and have now made it half a dozen times. My body feels happier getting good high protein goodness, and my tongue gets a sweet, fudgy, chocolatey treat. I serve it with a chocolate glaze. Thanks for the great recipe.

OK. I'm giving into peer pressure and reviewing this recipe, finally. I'd like to echo another reviewer. BELIEVE THE HYPE. This pie is SOOOOOO good. I'm leaving the apple crumbles, dutch apple pies and apple crisps all behind in favor of this delectable apple treat. Enjoy!

Chili Rubbed Pork Tenderloin With Apricot Ginger Glaze

Reviewed: May 8, 2011
Um. Wow! So tender. So full of flavor. So tasty. So...GONE. This was so good I hardly have words to describe it. Do not pass this one by. This is perfect for company, but quick enough to make on a weeknight. Just pull the rubbed pork out of the frige and throw it on the grill while you whip up some potatoes and a veggie. It really is done in 20 minutes and so tender and tasty... I know, I already covered that. Don't miss out on this recipe.

Whipping Cream Pound Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2011
Wow! I've been on the hunt for the perfect pound cake and... this is it! The smell is delightful, the taste is wonderful, and most importantly, the texture is HEAVENLY. Follow the recipe! The method is important. The taste of the raw batter was reminiscent of Angel food cake. The baked cake was light, spongy, and dense all at the same time. Absolutely wonderful! It made the best strawberry shortcake we've ever had. Thank you so much for this recipe. We'll be using it over and over.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
I can NOT believe how much I love this recipe. Fantastic. I am not a picky eater, but have never tried brussel sprouts, despite much urging. These were SO tasty. The ones I didn't eat that night I ate cold, right out of the refrigerator. I microwaved them in some water for about 8 minutes, before browning them in the oven. I've been craving them ever since.
