Dutch Croquetten

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2011
If you want to make a great kroket here's how you do it. Take a roast (beef in my mind is best) cook it in the crockpot for the day (this is why people don't make krokets often its an all day affair) shred the beef, make a roux, throw in some ketjap manis, mustard (i prefer spicy), roll those bad boys into balls (biterballen) or oblong (kroket). To bread them this is a three step process flour, egg, then bread crumbs. Deep fry. A sign of a good kroket is the breading is separated from the filling after its cooked. There is no true recipe for krokets taste your way through. If you don't like the way it tastes change it.

Shrimp and Crab Bisque

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2010
OMG sooo good! Changes I made: used heavy cream w/o flour. Sauted onions, with garlic, red pepper flakes, and pepper in the butter. Added the cream, wine (only 1/4 cup), added chicken bouillon, seafood, heated served. Fantastic.

World's Best Lasagna

Made this recipe as is. Felt it was very very salty. Next time I will not include any salt in this recipe. But aside from that it was excellent

Shrimp Lemon Pepper Linguini

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2010
This was a nice light dish better suited for summer time. I reduced the pepper by half because I don't like pepper THAT much lol. But over all very very good.

Szechwan Shrimp

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2010
Everyone said it was nice and spicy and it wasn't. My husband liked it but I just wasn't a fan. The sauce tasted like ketchup and ginger more or less.

Kung Pao Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2009
Oh my goodness that was spicy. I tripled the sauce, but put in two ounces of chili paste in instead of three and still super spicy. But all in all still fantastic.

Spinach Tomato Tortellini

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
The hubby loved it. I put in three cups of spinach and cut down the pasta by about a quarter, used some Italian seasoning, more garlic, no salt, and double the amount of cheese. Fantastic recipe thank you!
