Monkey Bread II

This was very good. I usually make monkey bread with biscuits, and was looking to try a recipe from scratch. This was pretty close to perfect! I used milk instead of water in the dough. And butter instead of margarine (personal preference). Like others, I only used half of the butter/sugar mixture. Now, that made for some less gooey peices, but that's fine with me. YMMV. Also added some cinnamon to the butter/sugar. Will definitely be making this one again!

Raspberry Balsamic Dressing

Blueberry Muffins

Very good and easy. I didn't have lemon juice so I substituted with buttermilk. I also added a bit more blueberries and a streusel topping. To make the topping, I took 1/2c flour, 1/4c sugar and mixed it with about 2 T melted butter until it was crumbly. Then sprinkled on top of the muffins before baking. These will definitely be my go-to muffin recipe!

Texas Sheet Cake II

Really good! I've never had a Texas sheet cake before, but my sister requested I make one for her. It was excellent and easy to make. I did add extra cocoa powder to the cake, like others suggested. And I sifted the cocoa powder and also the powdered sugar in the frosting to prevent any lumps. I will definitely be adding this recipe to my favorites. Thank you !

Caramel-Pecan Pumpkin Pie

I used the caramel pecan topping from the recipe. I used the recipe from Libby's Pumpkin for the rest of the pie. I don't normally like pumpkin pie but this was absolutely to die for with the pecan topping! And since I used the other recipe, I did end up baking it quite a bit longer than this recipe called for.

Awesome Honey Pecan Pork Chops

Caramel pecan pork. Very odd. The meat turned out good and the sauce was good, but the two just did not go well together. It as definitely edible, but not something I would make again. Sauce is better suited over a sweet dough.
