Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2013
Didn't change a thing. It was my first time making a pie, and it turned out great. Not gorgeous but still delicious.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2013
SO YUMMY and easy for a novice cook like me to make! I used a bag of frozen mixed veggies and (like others) boiled them and the chicken in chicken broth. I substituted garlic salt for the celery seed. Other than that, I followed the recipe exactly. Will definitely be making it again!

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2013
I followed the recipe exactly EXCEPT as some reviewers suggested, I added 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and decreased the salt to 1/2 teaspoon. I might try a mix of brown and white sugar next time. I tossed the chocolate chips with flour before adding them but had already put in the 1 1/2 cups of flour that the recipe called for (so ended up with a tad more flour than was in the recipe). Still turned out great! Baked for 35 minutes.

Easy Cheesy Chicken I

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2013
This was my first slow cooker recipe, so I can attest to its easiness! Cooked for 6 hours, then added some frozen broccoli and cooked for another 30 minutes or so. Didn't add sour cream. Served on spiral pasta.

Gluten-Free Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2013
These are hard to mess up! I've tried some different combinations (e.g. brown/white sugar like other reviewers suggested) and they all turned out great. I even baked them with kids who have a tendency not to follow directions very closely, and they were still delicious. I originally tried the recipe for my cousin who went off gluten, but EVERYONE loves them!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2012
I substituted the shortening with softened butter like other reviewers and also doubled the cinnamon/sugar coating. I put the coating in a plastic baggie and just dropped in each ball of dough and shook it around (like making pork chops). They came out a lot darker than the picture but not too cinnamony. A little buttery for my taste but still delicious.

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2011
Delicious! I live at high altitude (about 6,400 ft), so I added 2 rounded tablespoons of flour and took out a tablespoon of sugar. They were perfectly done at 22 minutes. At high altitude recipes tend to be on the dry side, but the banana kept the muffins very moist! Delicious and very popular!

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
Great! This was my first time making icing, and it turned out wonderfully! I did need to add a couple more teaspoons of milk to the sugar and then a little more corn syrup than the 2 teaspoons. Then I just used a butter knife and a spatula to spread the icing on the cookies.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
Great! I added an extra cup of sugar and an extra teaspoon of vanilla, like some of the reviews said. They weren't too sweet!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
AMAZING! And it really does get better as the days go by! I'm at high altitude, so I added an extra 1/3 cup of water (1 cup total) and ended up baking for 65 minutes instead of 50.
