About this Cook
Dairy farm wife and mother to two under two years old. My husband and I love to cook using organic, raw milk from our farm, meat from our organic pigs, chickens and beef and yummy veggies and fruit from our garden.
My favorite things to cook
Baking bread, cookies and pies I also love cooking a pot roast. Even though a pot roast is very easy, it makes the whole home smell so yummy, especially with homemade bread.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Grandmother and mother are 100% Italian. We make homemade raviolis and stuff shells for Christmas each year.
My cooking triumphs
Curing our family of the Angel Food Cake curse. I made Angel Food Cake III for the first time and it turned out perfect.
My cooking tragedies
The first time I tried grilling on my own (with charcoal) I was making beer-butt chicken. No good. Our farm raised chickens are too big for our grill and I could not keep it hot enough. Good thing my talented husband came home in the nick of time and saved the whole meal.

Homemade Graham Crackers
I was looking for a cracker recipe that was chewy enough for my 1 year old. These are perfect. I will probably play around with flavor a bit the next time I make them, but they are still good as is.

Added cucumber. Next time I will use slightly less salt.

Gyros Burgers
turned out great. I melted a slice of feta cheese on top, served with Tzatziki sauce 1 and topped with tomato and cucumbers in a homemade pita. My 11 month old and 2 year old even ate them.
