About this Cook
I've been cooking for a few years but I believe that even when I've been cooking for 50 years that I will still be learning, or atleast I hope so because if not then cooking will just get boring and I wont want to do it anymore. I'm having fun learning new ways to do things and trying new foods that I wasn't introduced to when I was a kid.
My favorite things to cook
Love chicken and rice with mushrooms in it. Also my familys version of stroganoff.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Has to be the simple mac and cheese. They make theirs with 4 cheeses and bake it in the oven but I look forward to it every holiday.
My cooking triumphs
Just learned how to make from scratch cookies! Never grew up with that. They always came out of a package.
My cooking tragedies
Tried to make bread before anything else, wasn't seasond enough and it was a nightmare. I learned that I need to crawl before I walk. Lets just leave it at that, took me 3 days to clean the kitchen up after that fun game.

Great-Aunt Nina's Noodles and Chicken
I did it a little different. I added a couple tablespoons of a chicken rub that i like, didn't put in celery, cause i don't like it, and put in premade noodles. this was really yummy.

Basic White Bread
This was so yummy! I made it and some friends had come over and they devoured it within hours of it coming out of the machine!!

Banana Nut Bread II
Love this!! I did a few changes; applesauce instead of butter, brown sugar instead of white, and used macadamia nuts instead of walnuts (my fav!!!) was sooo good that me and my bf at almost half the loaf in one sitting. didn't seem to do well next day, had dried out a whole lot and became unbearably chewey. that might have been the way i stored it but other than that, was awsome!!!!
