I am pretty sure you are like me and have many personal recipe’s that are still waiting to get published.  I know between us all we have the most amazing recipes still waiting to be discovered.

I love making other AR members personal recipes and have already made a few in the past, but I would like you to send me your own Favorite personal recipe.  Also is there a little history you could share with us about your recipe.  Has it been in the family for generations, is it something you created one lazy summer afternoon or maybe you are not even sure where the recipe came from.

I really am looking forward to hearing from you.

Here are a few other cooks personal recipes that I have already made, all were so delicious.

I thought I would add some of my own personal recipes for you.  A few of them are doggie treats but I have some great other recipes too.

I guess having over 2300 recipes in my recipe box is not enough, so lets try and take my recipe box to over 2500 with your personal recipes…

You're killing me here! I love your photos and should have had dinner before I looked at your blog. I don't have any recipes really. I just started using my recipe box and now it's gardening time and Bane time and Reese(horse)time. Deep sigh, I have nothing cool to add but I can't wait to see what recipes show up here. So many great cooks and so many great recipes!

Thank you Maridele going to take a look at those now. Well Hello Cat Hill, good to see you again. We are in the middle of an awful storm with Tornado warning here, supposed to be leaving for work but everytime I open the door I quickly close it and come back to AR...

Hello back at you! Be safe!
Jun. 21, 2011 6:57 pm
Thanks Cat ~ I'm still here so far, think the Tornado Warning has now moved to the north Subs, but the storm is still so bad.

I have had more compliments for this recipe than any other I have developed. Maridele already said, "Smack your Momma good", so I guess I can't. ... http://allrecipes.com/cook/13101603/blogentry.aspx?postid=204609

Great idea for a blog apple.strudel! And, thank you for the opportunity. This is one of my most favorite. The story behind it is I was always making chocolate fudge and one day in the grocery store Hubby picked up Maple Walnut flavoring and said "this is for you to make my favorite fudge, you can do it". I put together what I thought it should be from making chocolate fudge, just to make him happy. I didn't even think I liked maple flavoring. When I tried it, it knocked my socks off. Unfortunately, now I crave it. It should come with a warning. lol!.....http://allrecipes.com/personalrecipe/62453269/boardwalk-quality-maple-walnut-fudge/detail.aspx

Hi apple.strudel! This is my copy cat version of a restaurant recipe. They wouldn't give out the recipe so I created this. It's my very first posted recipe. It seemed to go over very well at the recent AR Buckeye Bash -http://allrecipes.com/personalrecipe/62796726/bellepeppers-orzo-and-wild-rice-salad/detail.aspx
Jun. 22, 2011 9:34 am
Hey apple.strudel, great blog. I copied some of your recipes. Here is one of mine that I make for my family at every holiday and birthday. The recipe came straight from the Jersey diners owner. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. http://allrecipes.com/personalrecipe/62807480/a-shore-cheesecake/detail.aspx
Jun. 22, 2011 9:44 am
This is a recipe that I am very pleased with because it is so different and easy. I have always made grilled cheese with mayo instead of butter. You don't taste the mayo and it browns the bread so nicely while not being greasy. One day I thought of the name for this grilled cheese and added the Pepper Jack cheese to go with it. It is so yummy!...http://allrecipes.com/PersonalRecipe/62503026/Grilled-Cheese-De-Mayo/Detail.aspx

I'm still trying to convert the measurements in your Victoria Sponge to American and have a couple questions: are sandwich tins round cake pans? Do they need to be greased and floured before lining with wax paper? Your pic looks scrumptious and I am determined to get this figured out so I can make it!
Jun. 22, 2011 4:16 pm
Sugarnspice ~ Thank you for your comments, yes that is correct. I always use wilton cake release and then line with wax paper.

If there is someone from allrecipes reading this blog, I would love to know (sure many other cooks would too) what process you use for publishing all the 1000's of personal recipes you receive. Are you looking for something specific? are they drawn at Random? Its just a topic that I know so many cooks ask us on the buzz, once they have submitted for the first time. TIA

http://dougsdinners.blogspot.com Here is a tuna-cucumber-pasta recipe that delivers amazing fresh flavors and has always been a favorite whenever it has been served. Guaranteed to be the WOW factor of your meal. TUNA-CUCUMBER SALAD – TASTE STAR TRIBUNE 1 (8 oz.) pkg. rotini or elbow macaroni pasta (rotini preferred, tri-color fun for summer), rotilli may be borderline on the too large side 1 cup mayonnaise ½ cup Italian dressing (I think Good Seasons is superior to Wish Bone) 1 Tbsp. prepared yellow mustard 2 Tbsps. fresh dill weed, chopped fine or 1 Tbsp dried dill weed 2 cups cucumber, peeled, halved lengthwise, seeded, then each half cut in two lengthwise again and then sliced thinly (¼”) 1½ cups diced tomato ¼ – ½ cup green pepper, diced ¼ cup scallions, chopped 2 ribs celery, chopped 1 tsp. salt ¼ tsp. ground black pepper 2 (7 oz.) cans albacore tuna in water, well drained by pressing lid hard on tuna while holding can upside down over sink (Costco Solid White Albacore tuna is wonderful! Bumblebee albacore in water second) Prepare macaroni or pasta as directed on package. Combine mayonnaise, Italian dressing, mustard, and dill. Add pasta to dressing and mix well. Place vegetables and tuna in salad bowl. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add pasta and dressing mixture and toss all ingredients gently to leave larger chunks of tuna. Refrigerate, covered, at least 4 hours before serving. NOTES: Good Seasons Italian salad dressing makes an easy, wonderful marinade for chicken on the grill. Place chicken pieces in Ziploc bag with ½ cup salad dressing for at least one hour. Be careful, remembering that the dressing is made with salad oil and will flare up at first as the oil ignites. It can also be used dry as a rub. Good Seasons salad dressing is becoming harder to find as Kraft Foods moves toward higher end premium dressings.

I'm so proud of yummy wings that inspired by Cindy's Tasty Wings. The thick glaze carmelizes under the broiler. About Me
A little about me, I am a wife and Mum of two gorgeous boys aged 18 and 23, and now mummy to two adorable English Cocker Spaniel puppies named Brie and Henri. We have been living in the US now for 5 years. (You will also see me on allrecipes.co.uk - AR's UK site). I guess like most other European’s I don’t eat to live, but live to eat!!! One of my great passions in life is food. Good home cooked, fresh produce. Especially if it is sourced locally. I truly believe that it is so important at the end of the day for a family to sit down and eat a home cooked dinner together. I spend a lot of my time in the kitchen now, which always amuses my husband. A few years back we had a small public house and restaurant in the Derbyshire Countryside (England). Never once would I venture in the kitchen. With all those professionals there was certainly no need for an amateur! Should you wish you can contact me at thebritishbaker@mail.com
My favorite things to cook
More than anything I adore baking. Cakes, Cookies (or biscuits as they are known to me) and my latest love is baking bread.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Some of my earlier memories are sitting at my Grandma’s kitchen table in England, watching her bake. She insisted on having to bake a fresh cake everyday. My Grandad was a big cake fan, and a cake always had to be kept in the pantry just in case a visitor should call. Not that you could move in the pantry for more sugar, flour and butter then any village store. (Just in case food rationing ever came back). Unfortunately my Grandma has recently passed away, but her passion for baking will always live on through me and I hope that in time my baking skill will do her justice.
My cooking triumphs
Anything that actually turns out how it is supposed too!!!
My cooking tragedies
Oh my goodness where do I start, like everyone I have had the usual tragedies, sponge cakes that have sunk in the middle, over cooked pie crusts, bread that has just failed to rise but I can thankfully say with a little patience and practice I am finaly getting better!!!
