Plain Cake Doughnuts

This recipe was exactly what I wanted. The dough is sticky and very soft . If you aren't experienced with pastry dough it would be hard to work with. There needs to be more of en explanation in the recipe, so I have to subtract a star from an otherwise perfect recipe, if I could subtract only one half of a star I would. Let me tell you how to make this into perfect doughnuts. Once the dough is mixed, chill it for just 15 minuets more or less. using a rubber spatula scrape it out & off the bowl onto a HEAVILY flour dusted counter top, and then also heavily dust the top of the dough with the flour. Now roll it flat & about 3/4 of an inch thick and cut as directed now it will be easy to remove perfect doughnut shapes from the counter to the pan.

Chicken and Dumplings II

mmm I made this for the second time today and I love the peppers and tomatos in it. The sage is perfect to season it. I had to use a difffrent dumpling recipie because I didn't have a biscut mix. This is a delicious recipie.

These were really good! I made a triple batch.I put as many as I could into my soupy goodness to cook, then I baked the rest as biscuts, they were perfect for both. MMM, thanks Carol for the easy & yummy recipe.

Tasty Buns

This recipie is great and it is easy! The first time around I substituted 2 cups of wheat flour and I was out of milk so I used yogurt. I was very pleased with the result. I just made a second batch with new variations. I added a little less yeast and sugar. Also I wanted to try mixing in whole grains so I sprouted some wheat berries(to make them soft) and cooked some quinoa, I also mixed in some flax seeds and rye. I mixed all of these in after mixing the liquids, and before the remainder of the flour. I still used a mix of white and wheat four as well as the yogurt in this recipe. Wow what a success! I am very pleased with the addition of the whole grains, I will do this agian.
